Welcome back Drac. It's been a long time.

Does anyone remember me posting about burying my Dracula in the backyard when I was a kid? Been awhile, maybe someone remembers the story.

My friends and I buried this when I was 8 years old. It gave me the creeps because the eyes glowed at night. We had a funeral for it and everything. Buried in my backyard in 1975. I had mentioned this on the boards many years ago. This was finally unearthed today May 21, 2012. My father located it while he was doing some landscaping at their house. Buried for 37 years. I had a general idea where it was but could never locate it. My mother was never too keen on my digging up her lawn. I would very much like to restore this thing. The head looks very zombified. I cannot locate the clothing or the arms. I don't remember it being in pieces. Perhaps it rotted. I have the head and torso dirty as all heck but I'm off to a good start. Welcome back childhood Dreadful Dracula! Been a very long time.
Please email me at [email protected] if you may have any pieces that could help me here. Especially clothes and arms.

Amazing. I've heard many guys tell tales of buried GI Joes but your is the first where the long buried figure was recovered. I hope the restore goes well.

Actually, I think don't restore it. Clean the remaining pieces then put them in a case. The story of the burial is so good, that by restoring it you'll kinda lose the memory in a way. Just my opinion

Why did so many of us bury our Megos????? I remember doing it all the time. I'd leave 'em in the ground overnight, but usually dig them up the following day.

That is awesome. I still remember burying my Klingon as a kid for one night in the rain and to this day his face looks dirty. LOL

I can't wait to see him rebuilt....faster, stronger.

This is hilarious. We have confirmation.

                          The eyes still glow.

It's alive!! What? Somebody had to say it.

It's super cool you found him after all these years.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

that is great to be reunited. I would be torn between restoring him, or presenting him in a coffin as is. It looks super creepy and great just like that.

The eyes glow, but did they have any melt issues underground all these years?
