I tested sanded and polished on my custom project Cipsa Cornelius's body looks great. I haven't polish on Cipsa Bill yet, will update soon.

Then I go ahead and polished all of my original CIPSA Ape figures without sand them, they're looks much better.
They had white scrached on the back of the torso that had been played with by childhood in the mild 70's. The scrach marks are all gone, glad they're looks great.
NOTE: the Ursus's torso is mint, I don't polish on the front but on the back very light polished,
