What Mego did you 1st piece together for your collection?

Still pretty new here, but hopefully nobody minds my posting.

My first piece together project was Iron Man. Got extremely lucky. Took 3 ebay auctions and around $65 to do it, but he sits proud, complete and original on my shelf.

Now I am working on completing the Kirk and Spock my uncle gave me. I used to play with them when at his house as a kid. he finally gave them to me. No accessories though. Working on that part...

My first mego rebuild was the RM cowl Batman,i bought him at a toy show for $45.00 he was all in peices.I got a repo emblem and already had a spare pair of gloves.

My first rebuild was Green Arrow. In the early 80's my mother did some spring cleaning and decided to move that concept to the basement behind the steps where I had alot of things. I had most of my Megos in a separate box in my closet, but like anything there were pieces elsewhere and so my mother threw out my Green Arrow hat, quiver, and bow. I can't tell you how miffed I was. It's still a visceral moment just typing it out. I literally had dreams of holding the figure in his completed form. When I discovered Dr. Mego many, many years later, I ordered those pieces and NEVER was I more happy to see him in completed form. I was able to snatch up the original pieces eventually, but I keep Doc's quiver on him because I think it looks better. And it's not nearly as fragile. Paul was a God send on so many different levels and continues to be for many folks starting out. Don't overlook him in your quest.

Ditto on MIB41's statement. Doc Mego has helped in many Mego re-births!!! Alotta Ironman reconstructs in this post. I dont know if it says something about his popularity or just that he's the Mego that was most likely to have his bits go missing? The green Arrows I can also agree with. After a few Mego Meets. I grew a desire to put one together. Head body and outfit I got at Mego Meet and later went to Doc and CTVT for the rest. He's another awesome Mego with cool accessories.

Green Arrow here, as well. No hat, quiver or bow, and his suit was ripped.

With some help from The good Doctor, He looks great by now.

I guess for me it was Batman. I had bought one at a flea market with only the body suit, belt and boots. Then I found a cape in a giant bin of barbie clothes at a vintage toy store.
It was a few years later when I discovered the Museum and then heard of Dr Mego that I finished him with gloves. A member here provided me with a cloth sticker.

Of course when I discovered Dr Mego I was able to finish Robin, Aquaman, Superman, and the Batmobile.
