Has anyone bought a 12 inch body from figuresinc?

I'm glad to promote them since I wasn't willing to spend the body to tool
a 12 inch body, but it was obvious that replacements were needed.

I just hope that the $25.00 price doesn't negate the benefit of getting
a new body.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I realize they have some licensing costs to offset at the moment. But they are making it difficult for people to warm to this product with those prices. Their even selling them on Ebay for that price. And with $8.00 shipping, that's quite a bit of money for a brand new body. Plus the 12 inch market isn't exactly on fire, so pricing them high makes that scale even less attractive.

I am interested to see if they fixed their 8 inch bodies, especially the hands they usually break. I would buy a Kiss figure and replace the body with one of Doc's.

I just spoke with Steve at Figs Inc. He told me they currently do not plan on selling the 12" bodies for customizing. His exact words were that he didn't want to do anything that would impede on the sales of the 12" Kiss line. That basically means, customizers will be waiting a good 6 months after the release before Figs inc. will decide it's time to market the naked body.

Also, I was told the release is now March/April which means April at the earliest. Of course, they are allowing retailers to up their orders.

Oh he is? Well, that's is interesting. I specifically asked about that, because I was torn on how much of the 12" KISS figs I was going to order. He told me naked bodies were not going to be made available. I guess I have another phone call to make.....

Yep. Here are the links... But no sign of the new eight inch body. If he was referencing customizers, I bet he was probably referring to that scale. Although I don't see where offering that body interferes with his KISS line.
