Has anyone bought a 12 inch body from figuresinc?

I would have expected by now that someone would have posted a review
of the 12 inch body made by Figures Inc. for the new KISS figures.

    Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

THAT is the $100,000.00 question for Figures Inc. I can't wait until those reviews start hitting on both the 12 and 8 inch updates. I'm actually holding back on the KISS product until I see what people are saying about the quality.

I don't think they are in hand with ctvt yet. I was told that the new items would start showing up in March when I placed an order there recently.

Anyone know if they retooled their bodies for the 8" figures? Man, I hope they did. Can't imagine going to all the trouble of getting the Kiss license and ruining it by using the old bodies.

They definitely did. I hope to have pics soon of the 8" body they are using for KISS. As far as I know none of the 12" bodies have shipped, but I could be wrong.

I got one today and will post pics tomorrow. It is based on the skinny
body but it's definitely made in China and looks good.

Ah... So these are going to read like the skinny body KISS figures? Hmmm. That's different. I definitely anticipated the muscle body versions. I really need to see these pics now.

I'm glad to heard this good news, thanks Doc for updates. Glad they're made them in China is the best ever made!

I will buying a set of four 8 inches KISS figures but that site can't accept the Postal money orders.........

How can I paying for that?

I hope they're not made from skinny bodies, I wanted the muscle body versions with poseable joints that'll looks much better to me and hope to see new pics of a body by tomorrow.......

I think the doc is referring to the different torsos on the hero bodies. Kiss was on the smaller of the 12 inch jointed bodies. The skinny body Kiss were on the fashion doll bodies.

The bodies are good - the plastic is hollow, just like MEGO - and it's not
the later Spider-Man/Superman beefed up body, but the standard hero
                        body used for Batman.

worth mentioning that the 2nd versions of Mego Kiss were on the skinny body that Doc is referring to. The 1st versions of Gene, Paul, and Ace were on the fashion doll bodies, which are notably skinnier than the skinny bodies. Peter, I believe, was only ever on a skinny jointed body. None of them were ever made with the buff muscle body that Spidey and Supes had in 12" form.

That's right rche, there seems to be a lot of confusion in naming the different 12" Mego bodies, a generally accepted nomenclature of the various versions doesn't seem to be standardized in the hobby yet. Ace, Gene and Paul came on both "skinny" bodies, which are the fashion doll bodies without jointed elbows, wrists, etc. and later came on what I call the "standard" bodies (fully jointed, but not "buff", and with pointing index fingers on the right hand). Peter was only released with the latter body. The true "muscle bodies" are even beefier and have no pointing fingers, these bodies were used for the Reeves Superman, Jor-El, Buck Rogers, Tiger Man, etc. The KISS figures never came on these bodies.
