This site (also?) has a pic of the Dark Shadows figures. All of the Galactica are awesome. All the Doctor Who are awesome with the exception of Leela. The molded hair looks cheap and kills it for me. Can't wait to see the SMDM and new Twilight Zone figures. I am also still holding out hope to see those Dark Shadows prototypes again to let us know they're still coming. BBP is doing a great job !!!

I don't think the Android Sister (or something like Boray) would be an odd choice overall in a large line. Just maybe not the best choice to start the line with.
That being said, I am really excited for the BSG figures and hope it will be very successful.Last edited by Werewolf; Feb 12, '12, 10:00 PM.Leave a comment:

Hello again! Well, what an amazing device this internet is turning out to be: ask for questions, and I get 'em! Neat!
Ok, let's see: our BSG and SMDM packaging is going to blow minds, I assure you, but we're holding onto it for now. We'd like the world to drink up the TF goodness at the moment, and not get distracted by it.
We would LOVE our Cylons to be chrome, and are working on those elements, but it MAY, I say MAY, be cost prohibitive. We're still waiting to see.
Ah, the Android Sister. People keep saying it's an 'odd choice'. Hmmm, well let me tell you my rationale for choosing her. Classic BSG has been done now at least three times in action figure form, five if you count Trendmasters "interpretations" and the MiniMates sets that have been made the past few years. So, we have to walk that tight rope of making what's come before, what the fan base are clamoring for, and trying to get something out that's NEVER been done before. The Boray, Ovions and Gold Cylon got limited exposure in the series, but figures were made of them back in '78. Baltar, Adama, Starbuck, Lucifer, etc, have all been made already, even Apollo, by Majestic and Joyride. So, in our first two waves you're getting two characters that are a 'given', Apollo, who got shafted in '78, and a character that no one has ever made into plastic. I always thought those chicks were creepy as heck, and I wanted to add another 'creature/alien' to the Rogue's Gallery of BSG. Make sense? What's more, with a show that has such groovy creatures and aliens, I think it'd be pretty dull to just release two waves of just one alien and the rest 'people'.
We use the same logic in all of our lines, WHO is a fine example. Walking that same line of paying tribute to what DF made way back when, what Character Options has made or is about to make, and trying to get the drop on them and make characters that were never made before. We had Scaroth on our roster waaay before CO announced theirs, and when they did and we came out after, people assumed we were following their lead. Not true, as we literally have no idea what they're up to. So, it gets a little tricky. And on that same note we're thrilled the world got to see our Kraal before anyone else got to make one!
I think she's a beauty, and when we release all the heroes and creatures we have planned, she will look sexy as hell on that collector shelf, trust me.
That help at all?Leave a comment:

those BSG figures look fantastic. can't wait to get them.
question: we have discussed before that the Android Sister is an odd choice so early in the line. I would think Baltar figure would have been the obvious choice there. is there issue with getting the license for john Colecos likeness?Leave a comment:

but will the Cylons be chrome like the 12 inch one I has when I was a kid?Leave a comment:

Hi everyone. Glad you're all digging the shots making their way around the 'net. Thanks for all the kind words. I wanted to get on the boards to just give a quick note. Past experiences tell me I can't always stop any speculation and criticism that pops up, but I just want to stress once again: the figures on display are PROTOTYPES. They are NOT finished, and we know what we need to tweak, along with the licensors. Bottom line, if you like what we've done in the past and how our finished figures look, then put that filter on when you're looking at these. Also, to clarify once again, pay no attention to the large heads. They WILL be in scale, as they always are. (With the exception of a couple of hiccups we've had,
). It seems every time we put up new figures there's confusion about the head scale, so I wanted to make that clear once again. And I guess for the record I should state that that will ALWAYS be the case when we show prototypes, the heads won't be in scale until they're finished.
Also, a few of you are asking about Steve Austin. Well, as stated previously, the ones we DID show we feel are about 75% there, with tweaks to come. We felt secure in showing them as they were. We didn't feel the SMDM prototype we had in time for TF was acceptable to put out on display. There's enough speculation and criticism already for what we DO show, we felt it best to hold off on Steve because we felt he wasn't ready.
Hope all of that helps, if there's any specific questions today, feel free to throw them at me. Labowitz has his hands full at TF, so I can try and answer what I can. (Provided the questions don't give the game away at all!). Thanks again for all the attention you're giving us, always appreciated!Leave a comment:

The figures look great. Thank you so much for Lucifer!!!!! When can I pick him up?
Just make sure the heads of the human characters are in scale. I'm sure BBP is on top of this.Leave a comment:

But maybe they'll shrink when they're cast in China.
