Yeah, I'm not sure what that means, myself. Like we all know, the name EMCE was chosen for a reason. I certainly hope it isn't so.
Also, I noticed some of you guys said the 12" body was a new design. In what way? It looks a lot like Mego to me. If they can improve on the old body, that's awesome; yet, I can't tell at all from this that it's new.Last edited by torgospizza; Jan 27, '12, 7:43 PM.Comment

This is totally awesome news of course. The majority of us here have been waiting for so long for these to be done. It seemed like only just a dream until now. It is so great to finally see the dream becoming a reality. This just goes to show that nothing is impossible in the Meogish world.
What did suprise me some what was that CTVT was the one that obtained the license. Don't get me wrong. I am so proud for them for doing so. If I were a betting man I would have bet on another toy company ending up with the license instead of CTVT.
Sadly, A lot of people dismiss CTVT as producing sub par toys. However, They sold a ton of those toys and it shows. The most of you would be surpised to know what CTVT really does in sales.
I think purchasing the KISS licensing was not only a bold move, it was indeed a very smart move that will in time prove very profitable. When you think about it it's a no brainer. You listen to the people as to what they want, you produce it (the right way) and you profit from it so long as it is done right. It really does not get any more cut and dry then that.
As far as what body is going to be used to produce them. At this point in time I would even be willing to take these figures on the original CTVT bodies (if I really had to) as long as the head sculpts and costumes turn out really well. That my friends is how much I want these figures.
I had even thought once or twice about obtaining the license myself, but I just did not want to make Gene Simmon's richer by doing it.Now the figures are going to be produced anyway. I get to have them all and Gene Simmon's still gets richer , but at least not at my expense.
Win/Win for everyone.
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009
Too much space. Need more toys!

I am definitely on board and excited for the initial 8" figures. No interest in the 12"ers as I have the originals. ZERO interest in the Sonic Boom figures. Looking forward to Dressed to Kill versions.Comment

Did you get the 8", 12" or both? I grabbed just a set of the 8" because I have the original 12" set. I think you do, too, based on your Youtube videos (that are great, by the way).
Also... does anyone know if this company is planning on producing EVERY wave in both 12" and 8"? That could be tough to keep selling these in both formats. I'm hoping the 12" ones are just for these first figures so they can reproduce the vintage Kiss Megos and that subsequent waves will be 8" exclusively.Comment

All I know is by them producing the 12 inch figures, that means... I can finally complete my originals with some factory made repros in terms of a leg cuff here, or an arm band there.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The 8 inch guys appear to have the same hands as a 12" mego. I zoomed in and it says "8 inch figure" on the package, yet has the pointing finger on the hand. COOL!Check out my website: Megozine Covers - HomeComment
