    Ebay nonsense

Someone selling a 24 X 36 MEGO poster and claiming that it was a
"promotional poster to ensure that collectors (kids!) were aware of all possible WGSH figures needed to have a complete collection"

Unfortunately the poster shows Anthony Durso's e-mail address and
name in the fine print. I didn't know they had e-mail in the 1970s!

Huge Mego Poster 1972-1975 Official WGSH full color MEGO Poster LARGE | eBay

This auction is for a RARE 36"x24" 1972-1975 World's Greatest Super Heroes promo poster. Poster is in excellent condition with the ONLY exception being a small (about 1") tear in the bottom right (please see detailed photos- tear is unerneath "1975"). Once framed, this small flaw will be virtually unnoticeable. This poster features full color photos of all the collectible MEGO World's Greatest Super Heroes from 1972 to 1975. It served as a promotional poster to ensure that collectors (kids!) were aware of all possible WGSH figures needed to have a complete collection. This poster is in wonderful condition, no fading, no flaws except the one stated. Truly a wonderful addition to any MEGO collection.

Very misleading auction. The seller is covering himself by not stating when it was produced.

That is very deceiving. Hopefully a casual collector doesn't get scammed by that. I would think most of the serious collectors would know better.

Ashamed to admit it, but I've bought things from misleading auctions in the past. Once I got the item and realized I was fooled it was too late. These days I pay much closer attention to the details.

Touche. I sent him an message complaining about it. Perhaps if everyone send him a message through ebay he will get the idea that we all know better.

I sent him an offer of $25 bucks and let him know it was only worth that.

Un-f'in-believable! I used to sell these for $25! $199 is insane! The seller's name doesn't ring a bell so he might have got it second hand. Heck, if the market value proves to be what he's asking I'll print more

I thought the name looked familiar. Are you planning on maybe selling them here?

I just sent the seller a "question"...

Hello. I am the designer of the Mego poster you are selling. My name and old email information are clearly printed in the copyright info on the poster. It is NOT vintage, original Mego, nor from the 70s and it is very misleading to imply otherwise. Please change the auction description accordingly. Also, the $199 asking price is way off as these sold for $25 each. Thank you.

I would more than likely pick one up for $25 if you make them available again.

They also deleted the words about collectors knowing what figures they needed but still has it at the same price. I think this is a blatant attempt to fool people still. He knows what he has now and that it isn't worth what he is asking. I hate sellers like this and it makes it harder for good sellers.
