Ebay nonsense

I just received this response from the seller after I asked him about the web address on it yesterday. Even though it's not original or vintage I do love the poster and Anthony always does superior work!

Even though i see they finally took it down i think it was because we all pressured them. They changed the description several times. And never did answer my question. And also if they paid a bunch for it without totally looking it over they are just morons.
Chris you have a store, I bet you examine everything before buying.

I sent this message:
"You are grossly misrepresenting this item. If you look at it, it actually has a website listed in the center. It is the website of the gentleman who made this poster. They did not have websites in 1975. This was NOT made in 1975."

They responded with:

"You should read the ad better"

I got an e-mail from the seller saying HE bought it thinking it was vintage.
So now he wants to palm it off on some other unsuspecting guy.

I asked him if he could find the e-mail of the person who sold it to him.

Let's see where this leads.

Chris, I'm not losing sleep over it Obviously the guy is just annoyed that everyone, myself included, busted on him and he had to take it out on someone. So be it

Well, after checking ebay feedback and discovering I sold to this person in March, I cross-referenced with my ebay invoice for that month as well as my own records and found that the auction was for a Kresge Batgirl card to "Wayne Palinckx".

I checked back on my records for the last 5 years or so and can't find where I sold them a "WGSH Poster". So that part of their story may be legit that they bought it from someone else.

And their feedback on the card was "Great thanks"...so is that a "sucks" or not?

I still never heard back but it sounds like this doechay knew exactly what he was doing and might even be a member here or a lurker.

More research....apparently this person is also "toyhunter1" on ebay. AND it looks like they've shilled on their own auctions at least 5 times if you check their feedback. Defintely a "buyer beware"...
