    Circus World Store 1976

During the holiday season, it's not hard to remember the long gone retailers of yesterday and we've added a real memory jog to the Mego ad archive today. It's a mall Circus World store and if you look hard, you might see something familiar in the window.

I, of course, recognize the carrying case, but who is in front?

Remember when malls were brown? Its seems so enclosing today.

It's Myx of course, let's put the worst seller in the front.

Our mall was dark, dark brown, it felt like going in a cave. Even though I've never been to a Circus World, this store gives me a fuzzy feeling.

Mxy, of course. I should have recognized the belt.

But I really don't want to ask about that "fuzzy" feeling

We had a Circus World but I don't think it came into our Mall until around 79 and by then I was out fo the action figure scene. Would have been great to go in there as a younger kid.

I remember going into a CW in Montgomery Mall here and seeing the 12" Magnetic Batman and Robin on the shelf. I vividly remember wanting them even rememer picking them up. But alas, I had "outgrown" such things and put them back.

Don't feel bad,so did I. If you didn't pay attention to the date,it's easy to do.

Loved Circus world. My best memories is that store had a Astroids video came that I used to play constantly

Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?

Because it is Luke in the picture. Check out the white top and tan pants and the colonial belt. What mxy has that.

Double check the date in the thread's title. That's why it's not Luke.

On first glance I thought it was Luke too but then the date and a closer look made me realise it's probably Mxy. Also, that figure appears to be obviously too large to be the 3-3/4 inch figure and too short to be the 12 inch figure, so....

Great photo though, I remember Circus World very fondly especially around this time of year.

BRIAN! That page is great! I just brought this up in the other thread and didn't know it was already done! Screen caps from "The Toy". The assortment behind Pryor looks like the typical asst. that I used to see almost every time I went to Child World as a kid. I've always said that I'm shocked at the current day values on MOC Shazams as he was common as can be when I was a kid...much like in the pic. Great stuff though!

By the way Brian...that looks to be an actual film still. Is this he case? Maybe a search on E-bay can yield one as I wouldn't mind owning that still at all. It's really the clearest pic of Mego Heroes live in their environment back in the day...at retail. Thats is if the film was shot in an actual store and not a set...
