The Ontario Lottery corporation did something similiar in the 90's when they released the "battleship" scratch and win. They toured this 70's living room around for a while, it was pretty well done but no mego.

If I can ever afford to get an apartment with an extra bedroom, I've thought alot about a 70's room. I even have my eye on a Captain Fantasic pinball machine. I guess the question is to panel or not to panel.
"Take Megos, that was a new company that formed in the seventies and came out with those popular 8-inch figures," he said. "Well, if you read up on those toys, you eventually learn that the oil crisis at the time started to squeeze toy manufacturers just like everyone else. Making toys that big wasn't cost effective, anymore, so they came out with smaller figures that no one liked too much — until Kenner produced the first line of Star Wars figures."
His favorite pieces are a set of Mego Buck Rodgers figurines based on the 1979 TV show staring Gil Gerarld. He said they cost him a well-spent $48.
"I used to love that show," he said. "Even that stupid robot, Twiki."
The story is cool, and the mention of Megos is great, but it really irritates me when I see typographical errors in newspapers (even online ones). Gil GERARLD? The Six BILLION Dollar Man? Where are the standards? Sorry to be so picky
