As with any auction, I would only submit a bid you are willing to pay. Once the price goes above that, I would sleep well knowing I gave what I thought it was worth. Whether another person has one or one hundred of this item is really of no consequence to me. I'm sure with enough patience, this item will eventually find it's way to your collector shelf. Sometimes these matters can be frustrating. But, like with most things, you'll probably score a nice deal when you least expect it. Wouldn't it be funny if it came from this person your concerned with?

It might be a little annoying if you find out that someone you were bidding against and lost to already has the item when you don't but you let it go and keep looking.

I've been interested in a loose Isis ( I've never had an Isis ) and don't see them too often but was just able to get one for just under $97.20 ( total with shipping ) - she's complete, no repro parts and comes with a repro card in a resealable clamshell. The only other loose figure was already at $99.99 with over a day to go. Even the rare ones are out there and you just have to wait until you are in the right place at the right time.

True to a point, but if I put in a lot of time to find badly listed stuff just to flip then it's tough luck. I put in the leg work and i'll reap the reward.

I've been outbid on lots of things. I haven't been on eBay for awhile though. You cannot begrudge anything that is not in your control. I think it is neat to see the pictures of folks collections where they have more than one of the same item. Now if it was someone you knew and they were purposefully outbidding on an item just so you couldn't have it, then maybe I would find umbrage, but If someone just likes to have multiples, then more power to them.

Modern toys, on a few items, I find that I have to buy more than one because my kids will fight over it, like a cool looking hot wheels car or something like that.
            It's all good!

It's obvious my plot to own every Grandpa Walton figure has been uncovered. I don't care. I have 789 of them and won't stop until they're all mine. Then we will conquer the world.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

I remember the good old Ebay days, when you won an auction, and the guy you outbid sent you a message that he hated your guts. Aaaahhh, memories...

I do sympathize that getting outbid is always a pain.
But these days I bid often and fairly low. One lucky day, you'll have no competition and get it for a great price.
Last month, a guy offered the complete Twilight Zone DVD box (5 seasons). I bid and got it for $25. Patience has its rewards!

That said, somebody here sell me a mint Mego Batgirl really cheap....

naw it's no one's business, if they found it first and they want to buy it then more power to them..it's even kind of smart, since they can sell it for even more now

While on EBay I go by the philosophy of a very wise man who once said you should, "Crush your enemies, see them driven before you and hear the lamentations of their women." Oh Conan, so wise and misunderstood.

Oh yeah, if you want it, it can be frustrating, but really nothing you can do about. If someone has the $ and is willing to spend more, more power to them.

everyone has their own collecting preferences. if they can afford it more power to them.

I personally, am very patient about these sort of things. I have a budget I am willing to spend on any given toy and just keep watching, waiting and bidding until I get it. takes longer to complete the collection that way but it also keeps the hunt going longer....if that makes sense

If it's a collector, God bless them. If it's a scalper, well, whatever...I'll get my shot, eventually.

It's not something I worry about. If someone has the money to buy 4 carded Iron Mans that's great for them, but it doesn't change anything for me or my collection. I focus on the things I need and am patient cause I know eventually I will find it
