It's a great face sculpt, no doubt---all of the monsters photograph really well.

Yeah, must be something to do with the detail in their face and the angular nature of their features.

Do we have any clues who sculpted these?

I can credit just about everything sculpted from 1976 on but searching for names on anything before that has been fruitless.

Neal Kublan seemed to think a lot of the early stuff was done in Hong Kong, which would explain why nobody can remember.

Judging by the style, Mego used two distinct sculptors prior to 1976, I have no idea who these people are though.

All I can say is that I am so suprised at how quick these thing's are coming along, I though it would be like a 5 month wait for another set of Mego cards, the Ape one's are still pretty new.
