I'm 100% certain that has to be a He-Man Battle Cat in black. Anyone know what the first use of this mold was?? I doesn't make much sense for them to sculpt out a tiger if they're putting it in as a black panther toy.

Never saw him as a kid, he was always sold out. I remember asking my sister and she said "Yeah he has a flesh covered suit" Didn't actually see one until I was 16, still have that same one, easily one of my top five wgsh.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

Mine has a T2 body. Is this swapped? Because he was an early release, was he T1 only, originally?Comment

My 'Mego buddy'/best friend as a kid gave me a birthday present one year ('75?) and he mentioned it was a Mego. I'm assuming now it was a 're-gift', since we were both VERY into Marvel and DC heroes back then. I didn't really do much with him, either.
I agree he does grow on you.

I remember getting Tarzan fairly early on...mainly because I had all the other figures that were available at the time. My sister took him out of the box on the drive home. My Mom looked at him, said "Who cut his hair...the monkeys?", and we all laughed. Never forget that...Probably the only reason I have a soft spot for that figure. That, and his goofy hair made him a good Chekov stand in when I needed a navigator on the Enterprise."Crayons taste like purple!"Comment

My best buddy back in early grade school had the Mego Tarzan figure, I never had him. But I had loads of fun playing with him when we'd play Megos together, and I was a huge fan of the cartoon at the time. So I think because of those factors, I have always had a strong affinity towards the Mego Tarzan. I never owned one until I picked him up at Mego Meet a few years back, and I think honestly it's one of my favorite figures I own now!Comment
