I totally agree. Now that I said that. I would probably leave her in their. Reason being I'd be scared I would damage her trying to get her out. Congrats, she's a real beauty.

She looks pretty happy in there. . . maybe poke a few air holes so she doesn't run out of air?

Thanks for all the great responses everyone. Seems to be split right down the middle. Sammy, that's another reason I haven't done it yet. She looks good in there, and I'm scared I'll do some damage getting her out. That's some thick acrylic, and it's going to take some force or cutting to get her out. For now, I think she's going to remain entombed.

Looking at her like that, is like looking at Christopher Reeve in the wheelchair... They need to fly. If you don't let her outta there Matt, I'm never talking to you again--

No. This one fills the spot nicely. Currently I'm looking for a loose Wondergirl and possibly an Invisible Girl. I bought an Invisible Girl recently that had a bit of graying on the head, so I'd like to find a loose, mint one to replace her with. If I can't find one for a decent price though she's good enough to keep.

Ouch! That's a little harsh. I guess this means I won't have to race everyone for the pole position anymore when you put those choice figures up for sale.

Most of my figures on display are loose and I don't have anything that's in an AFA case. With that said, if I did have a figure in an AFA case, I'd leave it in there (for many of the reasons already mentioned, but mostly the fact that it's easier to wipe the dust off of an AFA case than out of Supergirl's hair). If my Supergirl were in the same condition, I'd offer to trade.

Release her, AFA means nothing around these parts anyway

I look at it like this...

Ask yourself WHY you want to break her out.

Is it a personal preference? Is it a protest against the AFA?

Then ask yourself why you would keep her in.

Protection? You were going to stick her in case anyway, and here she comes in her own? Resale to a person other than a Mego collector?

Once you can answer those questions honestly, do nothing. She's not going anywhere.

I don't collect AFA figures, loose or otherwise. I don't collect CGC graded comics, or NGS, or anything along those lines. It's a personal preference. I open all my toys too. I need to touch stuff. But I have no say on how anyone else displays or keeps their stuff.

I know I am going to get smaked for this one...when it comes to Mego figures I always end up with reproduction pieces when they say all original. I like AFA. Yeah, you heard me! You gonna make something of it? Bring it on!

This AFA graded figure just makes me want to collect MEGO figures even more. I LOVE IT!

Since this thread is over a year old now, where's this Supergirl now? Is she still in the case or loose?

I was looking through some old threads and ran across this. Supergirl is still sitting on the shelf in the AFA case. I never was able to bring myself to crack that case open. To this day, she's still the best Mego deal I've ever gotten.
