Hi. It was me who purchased these items. After realizing that the shirts/ties were not original as per the MM group consensus and the Bruce Wayne head had copyright on the back, I kindly asked for a partial refund. I am not sure why it was considered a horrible ordeal for this seller. I simply asked for a partial refund since they were not 100% original from the consensus of the discussion. I went through ebay to ask for the partial refund. Before I knew it, I was getting a full refund. (It didn't reach a point where ebay had to decide on a dispute.) I guess the seller offered to take them back for a full refund. The seller also indicated in the listing that a 7 day refund would be issued if not satisfied. I did NOT intentionally tear off a snap NOR tear out a label. Why would I or anyone for that matter intentionally do something like that? I wrapped up the figures received in the original bubble wrap and orginal box, put it inside another box, and shipped it back. I apologize for any inconvenience this seller felt, but just thought a partial refund was in order because of the consensus here at the discussion forum regarding the issues with these pieces. I wish the seller the best in selling these figures and hope someone here at the MM may benefit.Leave a comment:

Questions; with theories...
Were the ties hand cut or machine cut? Hand cut would make all the ties a little different.
Why do original suits have different color thread for the buttons? Different people sewing them on all using the thread they had in their individual station.
Why is there different looking copyright info on different heads? More than one mold was used for the heads.
Why does some material look like it goes vertical while others look horizontal? Different people cutting from different pieces of the fabric.Leave a comment:

I want to thank Dr. Mego for looking at the shirts/ties. Didn't want to cause the good Doc any problems...thanks again Doc!
From what I think, he is saying it doesn't look like one of his repros (Since he doesn't own original AEs, he can't compare).
However, others say the shirt pattern looks similar to Dr. Mego's. ...Shirt very white etc...However tie pattern on back seems original on BW and CK. (Will take more photos and post.)
So not sure what the ultimate verdict is....I guess seems may be repro.
However, I know the shirts look white, but looking at the patterns, sometimes it looks like original (comparing MM photo to actual figure), sometimes it looks like Dr. Mego's shirt (from comparing both photos -shirt in questions and MM photo).
Options:
a. Shirts/Ties original
b. ShirtsTies- both repro
c. Shirts repro/ties original
Any other comments welcome......I will take close up of just shirts and ties/back of ties soon....Thanks again to all.Leave a comment:

This was a very tough auction. Not enough info nor pictures from the seller. I was certainly bidding, but couldn't go the distance with so little info. And now it looks like the reproduction China parts are likely in the mix. Ugh. Sorry.Leave a comment:

You have to compare them to known originals and not photos. I have compared both side by side. The pattern is indicative of the repros. The ties look like originals. If that's the case, the only conclusion I can come to on this is a fradulent representation. (not on your part but the guy who represented that they may be orginal or let you come to that conclusion with fed clues). That is why I love repros. I should have specified (exact, made in china) in that phrase.Last edited by hobub; May 3, '10, 5:45 PM.Leave a comment:
