I want to thank Dr. Mego for looking at the shirts/ties. Didn't want to cause the good Doc any problems...thanks again Doc!

From what I think, he is saying it doesn't look like one of his repros (Since he doesn't own original AEs, he can't compare).

However, others say the shirt pattern looks similar to Dr. Mego's. ...Shirt very white etc...However tie pattern on back seems original on BW and CK. (Will take more photos and post.)
So not sure what the ultimate verdict is....I guess seems may be repro.

However, I know the shirts look white, but looking at the patterns, sometimes it looks like original (comparing MM photo to actual figure), sometimes it looks like Dr. Mego's shirt (from comparing both photos -shirt in questions and MM photo).

    Options:

    a. Shirts/Ties original
    b. ShirtsTies- both repro
    c. Shirts repro/ties original

Any other comments welcome......I will take close up of just shirts and ties/back of ties soon....Thanks again to all.

    My response

I don't own the original alter-egos so I can't compare them to mine.

    Hi.
The Clark Kent head won on this auction has a faint copyright imprint..I had to hold it up to the light to notice it. Is the light copyright true of the Clark Kent? I will take a closer look at the head on the BW. I will take photos of both head and post them later. I will also take a look a the back of the BW and CK ties and post some photos.....Many thanks again.

    Hope that helps.
Roberto's photo highlights another characteristic of the Kent/Wayne tie and that is the way the vinyl has a tendency to in curl on itself, both ties on the auction lot are dead flat, also the points of the tie are very neatly cut, original ties tend to be uneven.

I am seeking the members here opinion on these items.
I have taken photos of them. The links are below.

    Here goes:

    Bruce Wayne

Head: Has NPP Inc. 1972 on back. Makes me think the RC Batman in the other auction by same seller may have the BW head with no markings. Being so similar, a kid probably just played with it and mixed them up.
If anyone here won the other lot, please let me know.
Also anyone have an original BW head?.....LOL!

I tried to compare the items to the MM photos.

Pants/Jacket-- The jacket indeed has the Mego label in it. The pattern/color/buttons seem correct.

Shirt/Tie. The tie is light blue in color, not navy like a Dr. Mego repro.
Shirt seems right....... Please look at photos lmk what you think .

Shoes- Shoes do not have any Dr. Mego markings. Seem original.

    Clark Kent:

Head: No markings on back of head. Original head.

Jacket/Pants: Jacket has Mego label in it. Seems right color.

Shirt/Tie: Tie is red color....Shirt seems right...please look at photos and lmk what you think.

Shoes: Shoes do not have any Dr. Mego markings. Seem original.

I took photos with and without a flash.

    Thanks for all your help.

Click the links to the photos. If you click on them, the photos should enlarge.
I will also take more photos if requested. Please give me feedback on these two items. Again, many thanks!

    BRUCE WAYNE

    CLARK KENT

Interesting look there, Berto. Thanks for the closeup!
Looks like your BW has a wide tie. Does it end above the waistline of the pants?

If even Dr Mego is having problems identifying his own products then i think that we are in trouble. Quite a few experience owners of original AEs seem to have come to the same conclusion, that the material of these shirts is DM.

On Bruce the rest of the outfit has wear, the shirts are like brand new, definately repo. Here is my Bruce. Also my front buttons are blue thread, yours might have been restitched. I also might have an extra AE wayne head, I'll have to check. If I do maybe we can work a trade.

    Top photo from MM galleries
    Bottom photo from your gallery

The material of the shirt seems more similar to DM.
And while yours has a tie that is lighter blue than the DM example, it appears the same width & length and material.
