Let's talk about the green back Palitoy cards (I love the art on these badboys). Which is the hardest to obtain and how much do they would go for in the open market. I'm by no means an expert on these cards but I've been around long enough to know a little so this is my top 11 list and price range. Many experts here will have a better knowledge than me so let's hear it!!
1. Captain America: I heard of one that has been resealed but I've never seen a picture or an auction so I don't know how much is true. It seems to be nonexistant so this has to be the rarist of the Palitoy figures.
Open Market Value: 15,000 plus
2. Lizard: I heard that there is 1 out there in the world that is resealed.
Open Market Value: Gotta be 12,000 (due to the auction I saw on eBay last year).
3. Spider-man: I haven't seen one of these in a long, long time. I can remember seeing a nice mint one at a Boston Convention back in 1998 (dealer had a ton of Mego stuff too). I know some are out there but I've seen this Spidey a lot less than the other figures on this list.
Open Market Value: 5,000 plus
4. Human Torch: I've only seen this guy come up a few times and a few dealers out there have him.
Open Market Value: 2,000 plus
5. Thing: It's funny, I know this guy is super-tough to get but I've seen him alot through the years. A dealer I know just sold him in C-6 shape for only 800.00. He just always seems to be around and I have no idea why?
Open Market Value: 1,500 plus
6. Robin: I've only seen two of these guys over the years. I know these are hard to find.
Open Market Value: 1,500 plus
7. Batman: Always looks awesome!!
Open Market Value: 1,500 plus
8. Joker: I've seen him alittle less than the Penguin over the years but he sells for much more. I love this figure!!
Open Market Value: 1,000 plus
9. Penquin: Not as in demand as the others but from what I've seen he is still tough to find. And even though he is pretty rare, I'm not sure if he can command the price some of the others can.
Open Market Value: 400.00 plus
10. Superman: I've seen this card a lot over the years. But Superman is Superman and Superman always sells well!
Open Market Value: 1,000 plus
11. Hulk: Awesome card but always available (hopefully your Hulk is not in pieces though). The Hulk is by far the easiest to get thanks to the live action series that was all the rage of the late 70's.
Open Market Value: 500 plus
