Most you ever paid for a toy!!

Most I paid was $60.I just can't justify paying more than that for something that my kids are going to play with anyway...So no boxed Zorro here please...
I like to keep it to around $20 for my mego stuff.
Any figure I do get is guaranteed to be played with so that is all I'll spend on it.

$125.00 for a MINT R2-D2 12-back in 1996. I sold him for $190 around 8 years later, but that was not my intention. I miss that lil' guy.

Other than that, I'm fairly tight with the cash on toy purchases. Which easily explains why there are no MOC or even MIB Megos in my collection.

Though it still makes my knees shake a bit to admit it, I paid $5K for this “little” guy at the Star Wars Celebration III some years back. He’s a hand-made prototype of a proposed line of “MY BUDDY” -esque large size figures Hasbro was mulling over producing at one point.

I found the farmboy just too iconic to pass up...

Since my passion is Action Jackson I can get away with most purchases without denting the wallet, I think the most was in the $600.00 range for the boxed AJ Camper.

If there were, the dealer didn’t have them (A Han would’ve been cool, though a Vader at that scale probably would’ve crushed many an excited toddler ). This particular piece came from the gentleman who sculpted the body and head for Hasbro. The artist also worked on the original Kenner figures as well --which made this even more tempting a purchase.

Back in the early 90's before I had kids, I was into collecting Disney memorabilia from the 1930's.

I remember paying $2500 for a 1933 Lionel Mickey Mouse and Santa Claus handcar and around $2000 for a 1931 Bibo and Lang Mickey Mouse book (first Mickey Mouse book published).

I can't even remember what the most I paid for a single toy was......back when I owned my shop I would buy lots of stuff to resell, but I don't recall ever spending more than a few hundred dollars on a single toy for my own collection. Luckily alot of the carded WGSH and Star Wars figures I purchased was back in the early 1990s when they were much more affordable in general. Nowadays I rarely can afford it.
