I paid $200 for 3 big Microman toys out of Hawaii, but the were worth at least $600. Apart from that, I paid $110 (after postage) for a Japanese robot last year. Had to sell other stuff to do all that, though.
I've dropped more overall for prototypes, but wiped out some entire other collections I had to fund them. It evens out, though, because I've gotten some incredibly valuable stuff for nothing.Micronauts Collector, Historian, Consultant

$130 ... but I sold a couple moc vintage star wars figures for $35 that I only paid $2 each for and put that $70 toward that figure. so really when I do that kind of math ... I only paid $64 lol lol
other than that I think I've kept it down to around $100.Comment

it is funny, I have been emailing with Dan C. about spending a "lot" on toys...
now comics, I have dropped 6 figures multiple times on a single comic, but when it comes to toys, I have a tougher time justifying large $'s...
but I have spent mid 4 figures on many carded megos, and even a few boxed ones... just can't bring myself to spend into the 5 figure mark ...Comment

I've paid $750 for a repro Batman 1966 costume and a partial Robin costume. I've never paid more than that for anything else collectionwise. Don't know what the highest amount was I paid for a Mego, but it's considerably less than that."...The agony of my soul found vent in one loud, long and final scream of despair..." - Edgar Allan PoeComment

My wife has cost me a fortune so far....
Oh sorry, I must have misread the thread....
I paid $300 for the last figure I needed in the Saint Seiya line (Kraken), a Japan exclusive. My hands were shaking when assembling him!
Five years later, the market crashed when the new Myth Cloth line arrived, and the vintage figures dropped seriously in value....
I lost my job after that, so my monthly budget is now like $60. No more high end figures for me....
Most I paid for a Mego?
My Iron Man last year, $60..

Hmmmm. I typically don't tell my wife ANYTHING about the cost of the 'major end items'.., but for a toy..? A few years before I got married, I paid $700 for a MIMB vintage Captain Action Phantom.., ended up selling it 2 yrs later for only $500.
Paid just over $300 for complete C/A loose and minty Aquaman and Captain America sets, and the same for a minty Spiderman suit alone (no mask or boots..).
Other than that, typically under $150 for loose, minty Megos (including the Titans)..

For a Mego, I think the most I ever spent was about $75 for an RC Batman back in the late 90s.
In the late 90s, I also bought a Charlee Flatt Black Panther which was definitely more expensive than the Batman figure.
Since then, I got married and had a kid, so I've always felt guilty spending more than like $25 or $30 on a toy that's not for my daughter. I guess that's why my Mego collection has been pretty stagnant for the better part of a decade now.Comment

I'm sure there's gotta' be other cheapos around here![/QUOTE]
Cheapo here too. Actually the wife and kids get me a Mego or two a year for Birthday or Christmas presents. Those are the only ones I've gotten in the last few years. I think most of them come from ebay and I know she isn't paying much for them. She recently got me a couple of Pirates that are mixed original and repro parts and I love them. I have several like that. Its fun trying to piece a figure back together and I'm not too concerned if my Mego Thor has a repro helmet. He still looks cool. The only things i have that aren't loose is a carded Klingon and some boxed WOOz figures. No big ticket items there. I'm not sure the most I've paid for a figure, but I'd be surprized if it was over $100.Comment
