that's the ONLY thing I don't like about this toy line and many of the new retro lines, store/online exclusivity. It drives and I mean DRIVES the scalper's market unfortunately. Not just online, but toy hoarding shop/booth owners.

Yeah, comic stores probably too, but he asked about mainstream outlets, like Walmart, TRU and Target

I plan on it, Sinestro made that decision for me.

I am going to buy them and put them on mego bodies anyway, thus eliminating all of my complaints.

Now, back to the topic: I'll be talking to my TRU in the morning. I am ready with camera!
Actually Bryan, I read your post twice because the wording was so eloquent. Not to mention the main points were all covered in a non-aggressive manner. Being able to transmit thought to paper is a skill in itself, and my friend, you have it.

That's it! I'm voting Bryan for class President!

    A little compromise

Actually Joe and I have trouble agreeing on how to handle some of the
details on some characters - even the ones MEGO already made.

And our guy at Mattel has his own preferences - then the prototype
goes to DC and that a group of 5 people all giving their input. Finally
it goes to the factory in China who selects the actual fabrics and
makes decisions based on cost and time.

The trick is to throw down when it really matters to the overall look
and, in the case of the boots, that battle was lost before it started.
Even DC couldn't stop the boots from happening.

All we can do is hope that the line sells well, because success equals
attention from management and that's how to get a better product.

Nobody can get a toy company to make them exactly what they want.

Nothing in York, Pa ToysR'Us yet. Aisle is under reconstruction. I'd like to give Doc Mego a positive nod for all that's he's done for the Mego hobby. There has been so much negative stuff posted lately. Nobody can get a toy company to make them exactly what they want. Mattel has the rights to the characters and they are going to make figures how they like. If you like these figures buy them. If you like Megos buy them. It's pretty simple. Good job Doc on getting these to market and for making parts for us all for years.

Oh, and I was so looking forward to having wonderful, meaningful and heartfelt conversations with him.
Seriously tho, there's been enough bad vibes here lately, it's time to let things settle down a bit and get back to why we're all here: enjoying Megos
