When I got mine it at work, my sign guy was sitting across from me, he took one look and said "No way those are vintage". I felt sick.
I would have loved those SS suits, he probably could have a got a job working with Mattel with those.
I was probably saving for a custom PeiPei Flash suit or something.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

I assume he got in early on the printable fabric, but I never got my hands on one of his suits to confirm. He's still around....after all these years I still have a hard time believing how that all went down. The designs were great, and he was a really good sewer, he could have sold a zillion of them. They looked every bit as good as Austin and Ed's suits, only years earlier.Comment

Perhaps the technique is outdated now with the computer technology that we have, but they were good.Comment

I got mine from an Ebay auction...I don't think it was the ones that Mike was talking about though...may have been earlier. I think I paid around $35. It may have been more...It's been so long, I don't remember.
As for the Silk Screens...I think the final straw that broke the camels back was when Mike Haspiel (gnat) got taken on the Silk Screened Spidey with the circle logo. Jonathan said it was original and it definitely wasn't. That was basically the end of Jonathan Moore. I think the last thing Moore was doing were 12 inch customs if I'm not mistaken. It was a Green Arrow I think.
I heard of the Pei Pei figures...anyone have a pic of that...I've never seen one."When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Isn't it a pity".

I can't remember what those banners were going for either. They look nice but the BS behind them kind of ruins it.
Wasn't the story behind the ss suits something about finding them in a box at an estate sell of a college professor or something along those lines? Hard to beleive it was that long ago.Comment

It is quite impressive, how this community has become so much better at spotting fakes. OR spotting the real thing like the totally legitimate and absolutely real 2nd wave AE figures of Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Bruce Banner and Ollie Queen that I have on eBay right now starting at $1,500 a piece.
Go bid.
Bids lot.
Do it now.
