They stole my Joker photo and edited it! You can tell by the same placement of the slight damage markings, scuffs and product number!

Well, that's not very cool. That's two counts of copyright infringement. I'm suddenly less impressed with the book.

it's a fanboy book. it looks like fun. it is hard work to follow through, writing and putting it together. odds are best it will lose money so cut the guy a break on copy right. if it is someone else's photo a request wouldda been in order and probably received well. maybe you can sue for half the profits of negative dollars.

Yeah, I'm sure you're right about the profits from this being low to none, but I do think that if someone's going to grab a photo to use in their project (whatever that project may be) it's not cool to do it without asking for permission...and probably offer them a copy of the book (or whatever) as a Thank You.
