So, I'm looking at recent versions of Mego Spock, specifically the one with the 25th anniversary logo on the back of the card. I love the black-and-silver accessories, I love the plastic emblem, but...why is his collar blue instead of black? I just checked out the Kirk in the same packaging, and his collar is black.

It’s also the single gold band rank insignia for a Lieutenant. This was his uniform for The Cage. -
I thought of that, but the Spock sculpt doesn't look like the Cage. Also, the phasers on that episode are way different. I think they don't even call them phasers, if I remember correctly.Comment

Maybe back to the second pilot where no man has gone before then. Same shirt as the cage but it has the later haircut and equipment.Comment

Or maybe, Mego Corp. is making a compromise to get a variant to market.
