Awesome! I'm still on the fence, I'm hoping to see one in person at a local show this spring to look at first hand and make up my mind.

I will definitely be buying the ReAction+ Baron Karza. I loved the Micronauts as a kid in the 1970s, as well as the Marvel comics adaptation/extrapolation. But I could never understand why Baron Karza (and Force Commander) was so much bigger than the 'regular' Micronauts, like Time Traveller and Pharoid. And he wasn't depicted out-of-scale in the comic books, either. Now I know why that happened with the toys. But I have long wanted a 'same scale' Baron Karza.

Biotron is a different story for me personally. I still have my Biotron from the 1970s. I was fine with Biotron being bigger than the 'regular' Micronauts as a kid. So I don't have the same thrilled, "I can't believe someone finally fixed this!" feel about the ReAction+Biotron that I do about the Baron Karza. That said, I am likely to buy the Biotron eventually anyway, in hopes that my individual purchase may in some tiny incremental way encourage Super7 to keep making ReAction+ Micronauts figures.

While these figures aren't for me, I am of the mind that these inferior Micronauts are better than NO Micronauts.

Ahhh, I'm so jealous. I'm really curious about these. I've wanted a Karza in this scale since I was 7.

So, can I pick your brain for a minute about this, Brian?

Karza, to me, is supposed to be massive. He's clearly INSPIRED by Darth Vader, but I always saw him more like Darkseid. Built like a tank. But then, Darkseid can alter his size at will, so I guess I can see it.

You say you've wanted a smaller scale version since you were younger, and the more I look at these, the more I'm seeing the potential. But can you explain why a smaller version appealed to you at an early age?

as a side note, I've seen folks customizing these. Someone took one of the tiny figures from the stasis pods (the ones that would pop up when you flicked the lever on the pod) and placed it in the chest of the Biotron and it looks fantastic.

Well, from what I understand, Baron Karza doesn't fit in any vehicles despite his change in scale. Was mass shifting part of the lore? Could they increase and decrease their size? I never read the comic.

Karza isnt a giant in the comic. He is the same size as the other Micronauts in the book. I pretended my bendy Evel Knievel was a resized Space Glider/Commander Rann to battle him. Maybe it is due to the comics but I think we all wanted a Karza in the same scale as the 3.75" figures.
I am picking mine up today but they cost me 100 bucks Canadian with shipping from Super7. That is painful, but I do want to support this line..

That makes a bit more sense then.

I still prefer my full size vintage one tho.

My set landed earlier this week.
                      Completely stoked on these.
I'm looking forward to what they release next, and I think Flynn has said in the past that there are already two more essentially ready to go as they were originally going to kick-off with a wave of four.
I don't know if I'm going to blindly grab them all, but I know Flynn is a long time 'nauts/'man collector and I tend to trust his judgement generally.

I will note that even with the o-ring and extra joints I was a tad bummed that neither sit down super well. Karza better than biotron, but the shape alignment of 'trons upper thighs to pelvis make it a tad funky.

In the comic, Microtron was a small "R2-D2" type of robot. The only 'interchangeable' aspect of the characters were that the magno figures could become centaurs and I believe Marvel showed that in the comics at least one time with Baron Karza.
I loved the 1970's-80's Marvel comic book series as a kid. While I haven't re-read it in a few years, from memory: (1) yes, the comic book did show both Baron Karza and Force Commander turning into centaurs, (2) in the comic book, the Micronauts lived in their own universe called the Microverse, but, if they traveled to the edge of space they could pierce the boundary between their universe and ours and emerge as 3 3/4 " size creatures in our world (which actually turned into the Marvel Universe over time), (2) Baron Karza was the evil ruler of their homeworld, which was controlled by a set of elites who forced select members of the teeming underclass of society to go into 'body banks' where they would be destroyed and their life force transferred to Baron Karza and other elites to keep them perpetually young, (3) at the start of the series, the Space Glider toy was adapted into Commander Rann, who, with BioTron as his 'C3PO,' was just returning from a long deep space mission, but he returns to a world where the benevolent king who originally sent him on the mission has been overthrown by the despotic, Darth Vader-like Baron Karza, (4) continuing the Star Wars influence, the comic book included a Force-like mystical force concept, (5) in the comics, Time Traveller was this cosmic, god-like entity that, somewhat analogous to dead Obi Wan Kenobi, would appear to Commander Rann from time-to-time and give him some mystical, vague guidance, and (6) in the comics, the Micronatus hero team eventually comes together, including Acroyear, which eventually also include a couple notable, original Marvel creations Bug and the Princess (again, like Star Wars), as well as Microtron (as the R2D2 indeed) and they take off in Commander Rann's spaceship again, fleeing Baron Karza's tyranny and vowing to overthrow him, including fleeing to Earth (with Baron Karza's forces in pursuit), which they do by issue # 12/13.

As an epilogue, very sadly in real life, the writer-creator of the series, Bill Mantlo, had left comic books by the early 1990s to pursue a career in the law (as a public defender in NYC, if memory serves), and one day 30+ years ago, he was rollerblading and was hit by a car and has been in a vegetative state in hospice care ever since.

The Micronauts comic book was created by writer Bill Mantlo, again from memory, when, at Christmas 1977, he saw his young stepson enthusiastically playing with a bunch of new Micronauts toys. He then went to Marvel's EIC, Jim Shooter, and pitched him to get the Micronauts license. I've always thought this timing explains the extreme Star Wars influence on the comic book's initial characters and concepts and meta-plot, as Star Wars had been the blockbuster hit movie of summer 1977, and was also, simultaneously, a huge-selling, company-saving Marvel comic book series.

I did buy the Super7 Baron Karza today. But I decided to wait on buying their Biotron for now. That said, after the purchase, I searched You Tube for some reviews and, at least to me, the Biotron looked great, as well.

I got my two the other day and they are pretty nifty. I'll definitely be in if more are on the way. I like the G! transformers type cardback.
