People have been making this argument about Super 7 figures since the beginning. Yet the keep selling enough of them to keep doing it, year after year.
The action figure market caters to adult collectors. That is Super 7's demo in particular. I can easily see them being successful with that crowd. These figures come beautifully packaged. They feature a legendary toy franchise (even if people didn't grow up with the toyline, they have heard about and know its place in toy history). They are a collector-friendly size where you don't have to dedicate a whole wing of the house to display and store them. And finally, they are just fun and cool looking.
Rather than being annoyed by what these figures are not, I think a lot of collectors will appreciate them for what they are.
