Seeing these in-hand makes me so pumped up. My two sets are due tomorrow. One set will remained boxed, but the other figures will be gearing up for the Great MEGO Super-Hero Battle 2.0. Fifty years in the making…
As far as the Iron Man “Out, out, damned spot” on his chest piece: Is it worth the effort to cover it with some yellow contact paper cut to size?

Thank goodness Cap’s star is completely adhered, instead of being stitched only in the center like with the EMCE version.Comment

It does bother me. But I'm not sure yet what I will about it. I may find/cut out a yellow sticker and affix that over this one. Or, I may touch it up with a slight bit of paint. Not sure yet. But it's a bit disappointing, to be sure.

Verily.
I’m debating between a sticker, or paint followed by a coat of hodge podge modge lodge, or whatever that stuff is that dries with a gloss. It would take only a tiny drop of paint and coating to do the trick. But I may opt for the sticker. More authentic.
That glue stain is ridiculous.

Yes, the stain on the button is definitely an eye sore. I’m guessing though when it left the factory it probably wasn’t like that, so the set wasn’t held back. I agree a sticker would simplify the problem or maybe some kind of cleaner using a Q Tip.Comment

Worlds greatest Superheroes on Ebay has the Ironman Decal $3.49 ea. They have the Button and Decl for $8.99 ea. I have ordered Iroman suits and Catmask (Iroman 1960's) head from them before and they are connected to Figures and Classic tv toysComment

A sticker is the best bet. Don’t use a cleaner! It’s the glue on the other side of the sticker that is causing the mark, so a cleaner wouldn’t even reach the glue/source of the stain.Comment

Someone on facebook took the sticker off with tweezers and put a yellow sticker on the back of it and stuck the original back on and it looked fine.Comment

Saw that. You need to put something under the current sticker, something yellow so that the glue does not show thru the current sticker.
Weird that the sticker would be so thin that the glue would show thru.Comment

Thats not a stain. It’s actually where the glue soaked through the stock emblem and eroded the yellow leaving a translucent surface that allows you to see the red plastic behind it. I peeled back the decal with some tweezers and turned it over to assess the size of the spot.Seeing these in-hand makes me so pumped up. My two sets are due tomorrow. From there, I cut to size a portion of a fluorescent yellow label I had on hand and covered that spot with the yellow side facing down. Adhesive side of that piece will help hold the stock decal on the plastic after you reapply. Once placed back on, just gently rub the area and the fluorescent yellow comes through eliminating the eye sore. IMG_6580.png IMG_6578.jpg IMG_6577.jpg IMG_6576.jpg

Well, this was a bust.
Iron Man glue dot is across the board. You can't tell from the picture, but Captain America's star is lifting off his chest. My Hulk, the only one I've opened, was garotted by the plastic, creating a gap. His head can go flush, like my money in this purchase, but it is loose.
Will probably return. You do not have permission to view this gallery.
