Disney did me dirty. I got up today and bought my set at 8:04am. Just got a note that said my order has been canceled due to high demand? 4 mins in? I called customer service and the said sorry. Nothing they can do except give me a one time $15 off code for a future purchases. “Have a Magical Day!l. Ugh

I guess they don’t ship the product but ding our cards for a few days. Lovely.

Either they made only 20 copies or some eBay scam artists created some program to purchase mass quantities instanteously.

I agree with Warlock, I don't think we'll see individual figures.

I'm disturbed to hear of order cancellations. I haven't received one--yet. But WalMart is notorious for this (and shipping delays, too), so I'm not surprised by Disney, either.

Edit: And now relisted? Something's off here, I hope scalpers aren't the only happy customers.

Belay this last. When I posted the message, you could still "add to bag", but now it is grayed-out and says "sold out".

Edited to say that it now says "coming soon". I've now seen three iterations of that page in the last few minutes.

This made me check my card and yep, they have already charged the item despite saying it was a pre-order and wouldn't charge until shipped.

I got the cancellation notice.
My order went through at 8:02 PT, so I felt confident that I had slid through. While I would have liked to get them, this will save me the trouble of trying for any of the future releases, as I’m not going to work this hard to try to buys toys I don’t really need anyway (I had been checking the Disney Store website pretty much non-stop since the announcement, even after they said they’d be live today at 8am PT).
I have to assume bots were programmed to buy the majority of these, or they severely underproduced. Frustrating. I was lucky enough to find the Big Lots DC exclusives in store last year, but that was a poorly handled situation as well.

Yeah -after all of that & finally getting the order through this morning, wound up with the cancellation notice @3:30pm.

Not any way to do business, IMO .

With the way things are these days, non of what’s been said surprise's me, especially the credit card issues. It really shouldn’t be this way, I mean we’re not buying superbowl tickets. I agree with PNGwynne saying that something is off, and of course the scalpers too. I was happy to see these released and happy for those who want them despite the aggravation, hopefully things work out.

You know: in the most recent MEGO TALK with Marty, Paul & Brian, Marty's pitch to Mego fans was repeatedly asking that we go to the Disney site and order early, so that Mego would have a good showing and prove to Disney that there would be a strong demand for these offerings going forward.

Many of us did exactly that, only to have our orders subsequently cancelled and now wind up holding empty bags.

What are the odds that Marty will go to bat for the fans that did as he asked and still got frozen out?

This really ZUKS BIG TIME!!! Fans not being able to buy 'em. If this was FF, Thor or Ironman, I would be kinda bummed out. But then, I think of Mego's history with the bandless body and then I no longer feel bad. Every wave had its own unique unforgivable problems. I will wait for the reviews and comments for this Spiderman set as as gauge of future enthusiasm.

It's terrible that individuals can never be available...I guess Spiderman will never be mine again. It was my first mego, my pop bought me when I was 7 yrs old. DANG...I was hoping he will be released as an individual in a year or three :(.
