I was guessing that it will be individually boxed figures, in a sleeve type package. Which would be nice for in-package display continuity, or to recoup some money when selling one of the four figures.

The general public will find out soon. December is coming quick.

I'll be happy to be wrong about the packaging, but I'll be surprised if I'm wrong about the pricing. Calling it right now that the 4-packs will be in the $100-$125 price range. Plus shipping.

There will be plenty of time to complain after prices are announced if they are inflated, but until we actually now something, it's all wasted energy and ignorant speculation based on wild guesses and inaccurate analogies.

The Batman TV show analogy isn't even remotely inaccurate though because that's already happened (with examples that have been given in previous posts). Not to mention the fact that anyone who follows/pays attention to the current collector's market for stuff like this is well aware of how pricing structures work in terms of single item vs multiple similar items (in one package) which get released later on in a "Classic Series" reissue campaign. Or to put it another way, one only needs to jump into a pool once or twice to subsequently realize that they're going to get wet from head to toe.

Again, I'll be glad to be proven wrong when the details become public. I don't think that's going to happen though.

I think it’s pretty obvious that the price is going to be in that range. $25-30 or so per figure is what I would expect.
Expectation is the death of discovery.

So if the initial character count of 20 is correct, then that's- at least- an outlay of $500 plus shipping. Or $1000 (plus shipping) for those who buy a second set for whatever reason. Not to mention the fact that buyers can't pick only the specific characters they want for their own collection since they're being sold exclusively in 4 packs.

This has become a whole other thing now. It's no longer about giving anyone and everyone who's kept this brand alive for 50+ years in one manner or another the opportunity to go out to their local department store and pick up a few figures as well as look forward to new ones. It's turning something that was once ubiquitous into a high-end collectible and charging those who can afford it a premium price.

Yeah, that’s the only way Marvel was getting done. DST Marvel had to be done as a high end collectable and so does this. As long as Hasbro holds the master toy license, this is it.

Mego would love nothing more than to have the freedom to release single Marvel characters in boxes to Walmart the way they have with DC. It’s simply not an option at this point.

I definitely will try for 2 of each (of the 20), so at least $ 1000.00 in 2025 not counting scalpers prices if these sell out. Wave 19 DC will be only 2 each of
Spectre, Hawkman and Martian Manhunter for me (sorry DC) because I have to cut somewhere. I hope DC Supergals is 2026 now.

Except that you weren't able to get any, so you'll likely have that $1000 to spend on something else.

Supergals will come out in 2126, I'm told.

Actually no because I picked up 2 sets on Disney store for $ 146.00 with discounts and I third set on ebay prior to the sale so I'm down $300.00
4 sets to go so $700.00 at least

Probably not a good thing to be posting about considering the amount of people who couldn't even get one set despite their best efforts....

one of the sets goes to a friend of mine who had his order cancelled and I only purchased the one on ebay because I thought my order was going to cancel too. I paid more for Ebay set than Disney order of 2. I may have to buy the rest on Ebay the way people are getting orders cancelled I am sorry for fellow collectors who are getting screwed not trying to upset people

No need to justify yourself on purchasing the figures, especially if you’re doing it hands on.

I concur. wise guy - you keep doing you. Someone spoke falsely about you, and you very politely corrected them. I for one love your enthusiasm for Mego.

I don't think anyone here needs to justify their discretionary spending or explain how they manage their collections.

Also, why conflate frustration with a company with anger at consumers? I don't know a member here, wise guy included, who's a scalper.

On the contrary, this community has repeatedly demonstrated its generosity and "paid it forward" to other collectors.

Definitely agree, you did exactly the same thing everyone else was doing, you were just one of the lucky ones, so there’s no need to apologize for that, would anyone here apologize or justify themselves for winning powerball? Plus you very generously helped out a friend too. What aggravates me is these ebay scalpers somehow scoffing them all up and making a profit for themselves.
