      Following this thread. Couldn’t make PowerCon last year but I would love to immerse myself in the Mego-ness once again. Thanks to the Museum Braintrust for all they do!
      No exclusives and no chase figures, please - I'm Canadian!

        I missed the conspiracy accusations. I knew that no one made any money on a meet. I actually feel like the people putting in the work should at least get a stipend for time put in. It is a tremendous undertaking. Pretty much any other show, the organizer makes money. I am not sure why that would even be controversial.

          Oh yeah, I don't view "for-profit" cons as a bad thing; I sure do like toi attend them. I just always viewed Mego Meet as half Lodge Meeting/half Fundraiser for the Museum. There is no "dipping the beak" on our end, we usually don't even get back the money I use to create the float. I also always register and pay. Heck, we're paying for the Museum out of our pockets right now.
