    It happens to everyone

The problem with collecting is the excess money required to participate. When money is good the buying is on, but when financial restraints kick in--well, collecting slows down. Just because the money runs low does not mean the spirit of collecting is gone.
My wife and I have hit hard times before, everyone has. For the last ten years I have been pacing my collection in an effort to avoid having to sell. From time to time the money has been good enough to add some nice pieces, but there have been some dry stretches.
Hang in there Lou. Good times are only a short distance away.

    Later pal...

Some of the Older ones, will still fetch whatnot here, & there... But pretty Much anything from about 5 & 1.2 yrs ago, till now, is pretty Much Worthless. I've scene them go as low as 10 bucks with 5 bucks Shipping. No One wants them anymore... I have been trying to sell about 20 or so of them, for Half of what they retail for, & thus far Nothing. Makes me Never wanna buy another 1...., I don't personally see any light at the end of that Tunnel. That Market has Completely crashed imo.

Hey buddy sorry to hear that you're in a bind and having to part with some great toys! You've got a lot of company right now but things will get better!
If I had to part with anything I guess first on the list would be my Treks and POTAs. The WGSH is really where my heart is so I'd hang on to them for as long as possible.

Funny thing is if you check the Bowen site he is still selling out left and right but the after market as you said is all but dried up!

I might as well display them but really want the space & money the would fetch for mego's.....

            GAH

The Greatest American Hero. I know he is a newer figure, but I was and still am a huge fan of the show. Just knowing there was a prototype of Ralph Hinkley out there that I could not pla--I mean collect drove me nuts. Finally I have the Greatest American Hero to go with my World's Greatest Super Heroes.
            Ralph could never go.

... Most pieces at 1 time had a Production run of 3000 to 7000 pieces..., most stuff today only has around 1000 ..., vedor's, Comicbook Shop Owners, & seller's get discounts on what the stuff retails for already... & even more of discount depending on just how much of a piece was ordered. So it's really no big Surprise that they do sell out, even more considering the "Awesomeness" of the Newer Pieces... However with people like you or me..., it sucks when you are trying to move something..., but it's a Damn good time if you are a buyer..., that for sure.

If something retails for 59.99 ... + tax & or shipping..., You would think that you could sell the said item for 30.00 + 10 shipping & delivery Comp .. Anything less,.. is really giving it away,.. If your Not already.
