When you really think about it capes look kind of stupid on Super Heroes

But then again, wearing your underpants over your tights is kind of stupid too

Capes do serve one good purpose ... They cover the Super Heroes backside so we are not constantly treated with gratuitous images of their muscular heroic buttocks when they fight.

If realism enters the discussion at any point, I would be much more inclined to think some guy on the street fighting crime in a cape is a kook than I would about someone who just likes to do it with a funny looking mask. Although if he put wings on his mask, ala Captain America, I'd think that was pretty kooky too.

LOL !!!! Is that not the truth ? I like Capes on certain characters , others not so much. I try think superman and Batman without capes , and hate it, Unless its Superman Red/ Blue or Batman Beyond. I try thinking Spidey with a Cape , and Flash with a Cape, and I am even less Impressed.

There was a Recent issue of BoosterGold..., Where he talks about it.
I dunno if he actually Had the Cape,.. or it was just a pun-indended Statement, or perhaps an Eairly design of the costume. But man did He look funny,.. & it was a good read.
