Man, these things are beautiful.

Somebody enlighten me on the Matty Collector thing though, does this mean the figure will be available for about 20 bandwidth clogged minutes on the Mattel site before it's sold out?

And if I understand correctly, the other figures are going to be sold ONLY at Toys R Us?

How hard do you think these badboys will be to get? (I already have that bad "chasing the wind" collector feeling)

I don't think it will be hard after the first rush is over . I could be wrong, but I would think there will be plenty made to go around. Not sure why they chose Mattycollector of all places maybe it's more money for someone in the supply chain. Having them teamed with Mattel is a big thing for distribution as well.
If you read the other thread I think they are kicking around the idea of having a large order for the museum which would help everyone out that won't be shopping online at 12:01 when they go on sell. Even saying that I feel the market won't drive the secondary market up on them after a few months. There will be the people selling them on ebay the day after they hit for crazy prices , but most collectors understand that system and have learned to wait.

I love the figure, I don't like the flesh toned suit (arms) never have been a fan of that. That is my opinion. I am glad they are going to be made!

As a kid, I cut off my GA's sleeves - then lost the cuffs.

I think Joe mentioned in one post that the flesh sleeve were a necessity
in order for the leatherette to work properly. DC would not let us make
Green Arrow with the cuffs that MEGO used. The official version has
wrist to bicep guards with 3 segments cut out.

The bow also was a mandate about safety issues. The old bow is
considered a "possible projectile launcher" so the arrow had to be
added so that some kid can't shoot his brother's eye out.

I asked my contact at Mattel if I would be able to order a large
quantity at the regular retail price. He agreed, but I will have
to be ready with the money well ahead of time. Stay tuned.

I love the little, subtle changes. Makes more sense as well, I don't if people would've gone nuts over a GA that looked exactly like the old one, but I'm sure this new GA will be a hit

He is the one I am most looking forward to getting. I actually like the boxing glove. I think it is a neat addition and keeps that lighthearted feel that all of the Megos had.
