If Mego were still doing figures today and they released Lex, I think this is exactly how he would be done. I LOVE the Superfriends outfit. As much as I completely embrace the way Lex is portrayed today, THIS is how he looks in my world.

Change nothing, it looks like an actual Mego mixed with a custom. In my mind that's the perfect combo

I know they're a little outdated at this point but I would've peed my pants if the head sculpts of Supes & Luthor looked like a 3d interpretation of Curt Swan's artwork!

The Lex Luthor head was sculpted by Chris Orlando and the Superman head
was based on the vintage MEGO head and altered by Andy Covalt, but
neither guy had any contact with the other.
I purposely did not sent Chris Reed Richards or Superman for reference,
nor did I send him the Thor head because I wanted him to base Luthor
on the Superfriends cartoons.
Personally I never liked Curt Swan's art. Nothing against the quality
of his work, I just think he made everything midtown Manhattan and
everyone was middle class caucasian regardless of their skin color.
Just my opinion.Comment
