^^^ My job with the prototype was to make it as accurate as possible to the character in the movie.

With this outfit, Flash wears boots that are a softer, shiney black material. Dave didn't want to use his boots for the prototype, but something that looked more accurate to the movie.

Changes will be made to the production figure, and I'm sure the boots will get an overhaul.

Here is a link that has some of the toys available at SDCC...Entertainment Earth gets a plug in a couple of the pictures, including the Flash Gordon line. In the 6th photo down (the one with Flash in the white t-shirt holding the "football"), you can see our figure (leg and part of the arm) in the very left side of the pic.

        That's a must have. Awesome.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Looks like a very solid figure. I also really like the art on the packaging. I will be keeping an eye out for these figures when they become available.

Wow...that is a great Pic Dave! I also love the Head Sculpt on Timothy Dalton's Character, in the foreground.

First - very cool, and I can't wait to buy these.
Second - awesome job once again, Derek
Third - I want three Vultans - one to keep in package, one to tear open and make Duke of Exeter custom from Kenneth Brannagh's "Henry V", and one to open and run around my Toy Room screaming "DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEE EEEEEE!"
An old Irish Blessing - "May those who love us, love us; and if they do not love us, may God turn their hearts; and if He does not turn their hearts, may He turn their ankles, that we may know them by their limping"

I love Brannagh's Shakespeare work, though my fave is "Henry V", followed by "Much Ado About Nothing" (which also has Brian Blessed as Hero's uncle), and "Hamlet" (which also has Brian Blessed as Hamlet's father). I can do without "Love's Labor Lost", which was throughly lost on me.

                        Congrats Dave and Jason.
With all these new 8" figures coming out this new Mego era is even bigger than the original Mego era in the seventies

                          GIMME ONE!

                          I LOVED that movie!

Okay, it was cheesy; but it was the good type of cheese that you feel no guilt in indulging in.
