I had a T2 Spider Man and his Amazing Spider Car (loved playing with that!) as well as Kirk, Spock, McCoy and the Klingon which were favourites as well.Leave a comment:

I was more of the GI Joe/Captain Action genre.., but I did get the first RC Batman and Robin, and first issue Spidey and Captain America..
After that, I had just gotten a few 'stragglers' later on, Aquaman, Superman, Batgirl and Green Arrow.., used the Adventure Team headquarters as my 'Bat Cave'..
My friends had the Trek and other WGSH, so I had no need to buy more.
By the time the last release of figures were out (FF, Titans..), I was already done with comic collecting and into 1999, Star Wars and Galactica stuff.

I had:
Magnetic Batman, second hand.
OMBC Grok and Trag (presents at my grandparents). I remember wanting the dinos pretty badly, but the only reason they were in a shop in town is because it was one of those twice-the-price mom and pop hobby train stores... so no dice. My parents went to great lengths to describe how poorly made they were...
8" T1 Superman (one boot - badly restrung by me, picked up at yard sale or random throw-away toy... my older sister ended up with it somehow and gave it to me)
Dukes of Hazard 3 3/4 Bo, Luke and General Lee for Christmas and I enjoyed driving it off of "cliffs" very much.
Black Hole Vincent
Micronauts Antron, Membros, (christmas, because I remember they were loose in a stocking and I asked my parents to hurry and write santa and see if the letter would get to him before he took his trash out, because I remembered the artwork was really neat and I didn't want him to throw it away. They "found" the cards for me... )
gray Pharoid (flea market, had japanese head).
MicroCity and Interplanetary Headquarters ($2.00 at the flea market)
Hornetroid - present.
Clown-Arounds. Heaven knows why. I ended up with the frankenstein's monster, overweight superhero and policeman with wagon and robber.
Large Size King Kong Plush. I had no idea it was Mego. He used to beat up other tiny super hero toys and spacemen whenever he wasn't battling rubber dinosaurs.
I had a few 3 3/4 buck rogers figures... twiki I remember but I think buck had his thumbs snap off pretty quickly and got tossed aside.
I had to think pretty hard to populate a list
Oh and my friends had an Eagle Force playset... I didn't know anybody with 8" megos, sadly.Last edited by Tothiro; Sep 4, '10, 1:45 AM.Leave a comment:

8": Aquaman, Batman, Robin, Shazam, Superman, Tarzan, Captain America, Spider-Man, Cochise, Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, Dr. McCoy, POTA Astronaut, Cornelius, Dr. Zaius, Soldier Ape, Zira, and Fonzie. Also had the USS Enterprise playset.
12": Spider-Man, Superman, Buck Rogers.
Looking at this, a few things strike me: 1) I didn't have nearly as many as I thought I did, 2) a lot more DC than Marvel, 3) hardly any bad guys, and 4) only one female figure, and I got her as part of a JC Penney mailorder set. In fact, the only POTA figures I had were all characters listed in the '74 Penney's catalog (Thanks, Grandma Alma!).
I think I missed out on a lot of the later ones like Conan and Thor because I'd switched over to Kenner's Star Wars, for the most part.Leave a comment:
