Besides everything else mentioned, the cards are also great because each series experiments with a different look - which relates to the figures themselves.
This is mostly done with backgrounds.
    A few examples,
The WGSH cards have a definite comic feel and the figures are even traced in black.
The Trek cards a futuristic computer art feel.
The Apes cards have a realistic feel.
The Monsters have an almost gothic painting feel.
The Knights have the gothic look carried over from the Monsters (which works)
The Hoods have a fantasy look on velvet canvas.
The Western Hero's have an earthy dirty feel.

I can't wait to see what you come up with for the Pirates, Scott.

Good call Rob, like many things around here it has been easy to take them for granted.

Take a bow guys, you deserve it!

      Cheers,

I'll also mention how the design of the back really gives the cards that 70's feel. I had forgotten how much grabbing the latest pack of Wacky Packages or Star Wars cards meant to me back in the day. A great 70's item done in a great 70's way.

I certainly echo Rob's and everyones else's comments. I love the cards and hope they continue for years to come.

Put me down for a "me too." These have become an integral part of my Mego collection. I've got them in a binder so that my son and I can page through them. They are truly works of art. If I had any room left in my house, I'd make a few into poster prints and have them framed.

I've been collecting various trading cards for over 30 years and have thousands of them. Most of them are in boxes in the attic. But my MM and PS cards are in a binder next to my computer so I can look at them whenever I want to. Thanks Scott and Brian for the wonderful cards.
