Young or not, he is entitled to his opinion, that also means that you can post yours on his site as some of you I see already have.

Robin wasn't my favorite figure either, but I never knew about the earlier RM version until i started collecting and the removable mask makes all the difference, plus I dig the elastic belt and ribbed sleeves. As for the mitts, well that is classic Mego for you, the oven mitts are almost a signature.

I have always liked Robin (masked or unmasked). It's hard to fanthom Robin as the worst. He's got a good design, the head sculpt is excellent, and Batman would be lost without him! It's like peanut butter and jelly, Abbott & Costello, Ralph and Norton. C'mon!

I love my Mego Robin, and I know we all do. Have to agree that he should have picked on the Hasbro Robin. In any case, just to be devil's advocate, I did like his "cooking with Robin" comment. I think we all feel like the oven mitts are a little silly looking. But it's all perpective, I suppose. It's stuff like the oven mitt that makes me feel such delight at the early Megos, and YES I too laugh at them a little

I still remember the day I got my first Robin. I was the happiest kid in the world that day

Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?

Mego Robin was/is/always will be my most cherished, favorite figure from my youth.

Even the cowlick curl and dumb smirk can't negate that..

His green shoes were the coolest, because they could have been made worse, but Mego saw fit to insure that, along with Batman's removable cowl and Robin's mask, there were nice extra-quality touches.

I think I'll have to show my Robins a little quality time just out spite to that guy.I always thought they did a good job on him.

I think we see a lot of our Megos through "tinted" glasses.
I love my Megos, But I do see their "flaws" in the "accuracy department".
let's face it, When I see one of these (not an action figure, agreed):
Batman Vinyl Statue By Kotobukiya New Ed at TFAW.com
I can understand that a younger collector (who didn't grow up with Megos) would like this more than our beloved Mego Batman.

I'm crazy about my Iron Man, but have to admit that the face place of his armour doesn't really score in the "impressive" department. He looks very very...friendly. Like a child would prefer to see.

I can appreciate all eras of toymaking, and embrace their shortcomings as just being "part of that time". I love them, can see beyond some less-than-spectacular construction. Some new toys now, are what we would have dreamt of as high-end models in the old days.

Robin was never my favourite (those green shorts don't really impress me as "fighting duds"), but he's part of the family.
But I can understand that some people see that figure for the frst time and say "yuck".
They just don't love it the way we do.

Robin is a little silly looking. As a kid, I never liked the bare leg look. However, the oven mitts are pure Mego goodness.

The one thing I never liked about Mego Robin was his hair-doo

I know it's based on the comics, but as a kid I only knew Burt Ward as Robin and Superfriends Robin .... and the Mego Robin's hair looked nothing like either of them.

To be honest, to this day I still hate his hair.

It appears that the majority here concludes that Mego Robin is not the worst toy ever and I tend to agree as well. I was thinking more on the lines of Teletubby's or Barney.

Too much space. Need more toys!

But isn't it time the kid got a long pair of pants?

Well, once again... it's all subjective. To me there is NO OTHER more appropriate look for Robin The Boy Wonder than his classic, green shorts, pixie shoes, red vest, and yellow cape outfit... yes even with the bare legs.

Let me say again... the outfit looks great.

However, in terms of practicality... Let's just say that I would sure hate to be 13 year old Dick Grayson, having to wear THAT outfit as I leap across dark rooftops with The Batman during FREEZING COLD Gotham City evenings.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! I shiver just thinkin' about it. Poor kid. Come to think of it, The Batman is really pretty sick and twisted designing the kid's outfit that way.
