The author sounds like a kid.

I guess that's how a young person would view a Mego Robin.

To them, Michael Keaton's Batman is ancient.

Unless they grew up in the 70's, they probably just don't get it.

So, i'll cut him some slack and chalk it up as a child's narrow-minded view.

He's Clearly an idiot and I won't waste my time with something that he clearly knows nothing of. Robin was the First Mego I received as an adult it was given to me as a birthday gift. As I child I owned him 3 different times. He a great mego to have.

Seriously...I'll bet the little jerk is no more than 22. (I'm not calling any young people on this board jerks. If you're on this board, than you obviously have good taste! )

Jeez, I feel like I need a shower after reading several of those posts. Not that I don't sling some curse words around, but man. Makes me appreciate this board that much more.

Obviously, I'm a Robin fan. But you'd be surprised by the number of people who claim to be Batman fans who loathe any incarnation of Robin. I don't get it.

Amen, brother! I thought the exact same thing!

I think T1K hit the nail on the head: This must be coming from a really immature kid who thinks Batman: The Animated Series is an "old TV show".

Furthermore, he seems to have absolutely no clue about the fact that this figure is basically an accurate rendition of Robin's classic costume (pre-Tim Drake). And he cynically attacks the figure for having "no-neck", while conveniently ignoring the fact that his tunic and cape collar are riding up in the photo.

Look, MEGO Robin was never one of my favorite MEGO figures as a kid. That's mostly because as a Batman fan, I was put off that the MEGO Dynamic Duo were the same height.

But I think the MEGO Caped Crusaders both are a damned sight BETTER than the crappy pre-posed "action-less" figures that we got all through the 1990's (which the author likely enjoyed as a kid).

He attacks a MEGO Robin for his bad anatomy, baggy shorts, and oven mitts and I have to laugh!

I literally could not find a single decent Batman or Robin action figure on toy store shelves throughout the 1990's and into the 2000's.

They were all strangely sculpted, pea-headed, with annoying molded rubber capes, and with HORRENDOUSLY hulking anatomy. Some of them were even incapable of standing on their own. Batman and Robin on MAJOR steroids!

And when the caped crusaders WERE offered as dressed "MEGO-like" dolls by Hasbro (during the late 1990's) the results were... less than stellar.

I'd take a classic MEGO Batman and Robin ANY DAY over this...

You know, I still have cold-sweat nightmares with that hideously creepy Hasbro Batman face sculpt and his giant Kool-Aide smile. Kinda reminds me of that lifeless and TERRIFYING smiling plastic Burger King face mask from those BK TV ads some time ago.

The simpleton MEGO Robin-hater is more than welcome to send me any Robins he might have and I will dispose of them appropriately...but somehow I doubt he has ever even owned a MEGO Robin. Ignorance is bliss...especially in cyberspace.

                              Wow,

You guys get downright defensive about your figures.... The Mego Robin IS kinda silly lookin', but as has been said it IS an accurate representation of the character. (Dunno about you guys, but if I was gonna fight evil I'd at least wear pants....)

What bugged me about the post wasn't the comments about Mego Robin, but how he DIDN'T find the Batman watergun more bizarre....

I have always loved the Robin figure. He's one of my favorite Megos of all time. Odd? Maybe. But even I can't explain why I like him so much.
