Obviously the Waltons was well liked by adults of the 1970's who had a nostalgic tender spot for what life was like 40 years ago in their lives at the time.

    Hmmn, sounds familiar.

Think of all the similar dolls, etc they had in the 70's like Holly Hobbie.
Little House would've been a sure hit.

There were "Little House" dolls in the 70s... Not Mego style though.

Yea, the Little House dolls were just baby dolls specifically made for girls.
... and they only made Laura and Carrie.

Well, whether they were made specifically for girls or not, even if they were made in the MEGO style/scale, and even if they made Willie Olson, Albert Ingalls, Pa (Charles) Ingalls, etc., I'd bet anything that they'd be as vilified as The Waltons are right now... People would say they never got into them because they didn't see them as "boys" figures, they're good for custom fodder, etc., but nobody would be saying "I have them all displayed by my WGSH", at best you'd get "Little House is displayed right alongside my Waltons and Our Gang figures.

I would proudly display a mego Nelly Olsen next to the Riddler.

Some of you just don't get "Collect Them All". It wasn't "Collect Just the Cool Ones". Geez.

FYI - I've bought this entire collection 3 times over at least, always under $40, once under $30. Twice in their boxes. For custom fodder alone, they can be a bargain.
