      Say!

The prototype has a skirt just like mine! I made it out of an old pair of pants. Same colour and everything....

I'm really proud that Brian got these for the Museum. Neil Kublan told me about them when I first talked to him in 98 and it was a great day when they first appeared.

                Kudos, B!

These are great because they differ from the "prototypes" used in the TV commercials --- which were more like the production figures.

                    ahhhh,

Very cool. I love the embroidered chest piece and the brown sleeve top. Kitbashing at its finest. Very fun to see early ideas banged around like this. Intriguing to both customizers and historians. thanks

Thanks for tracking this down - good stuff. I always wonder just how many more discoveries can be made.

                        Truly historic, Brian,
and an amazing coup for the Mego Museum.

Can you share anymore background on the owner,
and why he finally allowed access to these?

I'd love to ask him is he knows anything further about the prototype Soldier Ape on the Stallion box.

I really like her shirt, while not movie accurate it really is lovely.

It is so cool that these surface so many years later.

                              That is truly epic!
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I echo Rob's curiousity- What else can the owner tell us about the piece and why it has been "undiscovered" for so long.

I really like the longer brown sleeves under the green. It feels a lot like the move. I can't wait to see more.
