Thanks so much for the warm welcome! I live in a small town called Granite Falls just outside Hickory, NC. It's amazing to find so many members from NC. In fact the other day I was talking to my local UPS driver and he too collects and is a fan of MEGO figures. Real small world. I'm originally from outside Boston, MA. Like I said in my first post earlier I'm almost 40 and for my day job...I'm a nurse. Sort of a job that picked me....and I've been a nurse for over 15 years now. I have 3 kids and a wonderful wife that encourages me to do my custom figures. I used to sell 12" customs figures through my namesake called MarshallMade always just used the money I made to throw back into the hobby or create more or different charcters. I've been away from doing them for quite sometime, and Looking forward to jumping in with both feet once again. In fact I have some molds setting up today so after this up coming weekend I can get to them. My first I'm working on is going to be The Shadow....worked hard on getting the nose just right for the head....which is a retooled existing mego sculpt. Also making a 12" version to go with all the different Green Hornets I've made. Also I'm a huge Phantom Phan....which is indirectly what brought me here through Castaway's new Phantom figure coming out....if this picture hosting works here are some pics of a 12" Phantom I did using a CA outfit, but with a resin head sculpt I did....and some kit bashing.
Sorry Folks apparently I'm a computer idiot and my picture hosting through photobucket isn't working....for me....when I figure it out I'll have pictures. In the meantime you can click the little camera to see the pics....still can't get them to post to my blog.
Again Thanks for all the kind words and for Al and Bill offering up some Mego cards my way....you guys are amazing! Look forward to chatting with all of you!
