Do you dream of Megos?

I dreamt I found some in the back room of CVS, but my brother had cleaned out most of them already.

I occasionally have the dream of going into a store and seeing a display of Megos and desperately trying to buy as many of them as possible. Then I wake up and slowly become depressed as I realise it was just a dream!

Come to think of it I just had that dream a week or so ago. But in the dream I also saw a bunch of early Star Wars carded figures too, and I was perplexed as to what I should grab because I only had so much time and money.

Not lately. Use to have the one where you'd go to the flea market or antique show and have the "find" of Megos real cheap. Or the one when K-Mart was shutting down stores years ago and you'd walk in and find Kresge stuff mingled with the rest of the reduced stuff. And of course the one where you wander into that weird store and you find stuff Mego never made like Flash and Green Lantern sitting next to Batman and Superman.

I Dream of MEGOs all the time. My favorite MEGO Dream is Going back in time to the beginning, when MEGOs were Born. Ahhh I Love that Dream. I also like to dream about having the power of invisibility

Yep, I have that dream about once ever 3 months or so. It's usually an old mom & pop store much like the old Ben Franklin that was in my home town. I use to have vivid dreams about old toys aleast every 2 weeks. But after e-bay came along those dreams slowed down. I guess the desire to find or re-collect was curbed after that. Well, to some degree. Heck, just this morning I was dreaming about the resin show in Louisville KY, Wonderfest. Those are beyond vivid. I mean I can smell the resin in the air. Just like being there.

No really...do Megos show up in your dreams at night? Last night, I was dreaming of playing w/ toys w/ someone, probably a kid, though I couldn't tell you who, and I remember Batman having a small slit in his oven mitt when we were putting them back in the box. (But my Bats has molded plastic gloves!)

I know, this sounds weird, but I can't be the only one, can I?

Oh my God yes I do!!

You can ask my girlfriend, I'm sure she will also tell you. I have had dreams that I got a box at an auction. Nightmares of selling my tougher ones. Every time this happens, I usually check out this site or go to Ebay. I know I'm sick, but I like it!!

We've discussed this a few times over the years, and it's always amazing how many people have Mego dreams - me included.

Mine are often finding Megos that they really didn't make (Flash, Dr. Doom, etc.) or finding all sorts of used Megos and parts priced very cheaply in a K-Mart or Target or somesuch. I dig and dig through them and can never quite decide exactly what I'm getting, and then I wake up. It's always a bit of a bummer!

OK...I know this is not a Mego dream...but I did dream about my chimp boots last night. I dreamt that for some reason the pink clod hoppers under the brown fabric was clearly showing and that I was trying to think of a fix for it.

I have a variation on that five and dime/mom and pop Mego find. I'm usually on a weekend road trip and pull into a small rural town (like mine) and go into a Ben Franklin-type store and there are still Megos, Super Powers, MOTU etc on the shelves. I usually snap back to reality before the dream is over. It's the downside of not really having nightmares. I'm too coherent in my dreams.

The dreams I have with Megos are usually finding them in some store in the present. In the dream, I try to get them but something always interferes. I can't even remember what clearly but I never seem to be able to get the Megos I find in the dreams in this scenario.

Absolutely.
Megos turn up in my dreams from time to time.
Just like Classic Star Trek.
With Megos, I usually find some buried.
Also, I dream characters that I don't recognize later
when I'm awake from anything that I've seen or that I know exists.
With Trek I usually dream of seeing an episode that was "lost".
I recall dreaming about an episode with a vague Middle Eastern motif.
I guess this pattern has something to do with things being "lost"
or a nostalgia for another time/place.
Both these things had a big part in my childhood adventures.
