That Humdinger was my first, and last, but the road trip with Scott A. was so memorable, as was meeting so many No Cal. members in person.

Mr. Levy, a pleasure to "meet" you. You're a name of legend in the Mego online community. Welcome back.

Hi, I was on the first list (although I didn't post much and can't for the life of me remember what name I was using!) Anyway, I'm going through a divorce myself and just want to say welcome back from someone else who is not thrilled with the world right now.
Expectation is the death of discovery.

I'm a bit late to this thread but: Wow, I have heard the Levy list referenced so many times over the years it has become part of the Mego lore. There really is a Levy and here he is in the flesh. How cool is that?

Nice to meet you sir and welcome back.

That's nothing. I got a sex change, then changed back, then invented a time machine so I could go be my own girlfriend (I dumped myself because I could never agree with me on what toy belonged to which of us).

Er. That was awkward wasn't it? (very clearly this is humor - I'd never date myself - I could do so much better.)

Anyway, 'allo again Mr. Levy. Nice to see you. Is there some Avengers Assemble memo I missed?

Prior to the Yahoo Group there was a listserv that I moderated. I think we started it in 1995 or 1996. Ebay was a baby, flea markets still had Megos to be found, and my collection was a scattered pile of junk.
Aaaah... yes. The listserv. I remember Cjefferys coming on board at the yahoo jump - but I don't think I was around much for that one beyond the Wednesday swaps. Ebay was totally a baby! I remember I got a Mission to Gamma VI for fifty bucks! I even found an rc batman head at a local flea and you could see a spidey every other trip. It's made me a little sad to see nothing over the years. (insert whipper-snapper line here)

Wow, this is truly great. As a relative new guy to MM, my second home, I have heard "Levy list" and wondered many times what that was like. I like to imagine it like using PINE or some BBS weirdness I geeked out on long ago....like talking to aliens in space, I used to imagine. Well, anyhow, I wax here....

but really, Robert Levy, hello! Nice to meet ya!
                  :-)

                    Robert,

It's good to hear from you. The party the night before Humdinger '98 was great.
I will look for a photo.

I really enjoyed the old list - getting e-mails at my job at Time Inc. about Megos.

That list, more than the Museum itself, made me realize that I was not the only
weirdo out there who was buying back his old toys to feel good.

As for old - I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I am 7 years old everyday.
