For those of us relatively more new to this, its good to see someone from the Levy days jumping back in. Hope you share some stories or at least have some embarrassing photos of Brian, Scott, Rob, etc. in the 80's and 90's regalia.

Robert really pushed to start the Mego online community. After I started the Museum website (with it's 12 pages) he kept emailing me about starting a mailing list until he finally did it himself. We were good friends for awhile before we realized we actually lived about 10 blocks from each other! So he was the first Mego person I met. He was the master of inexpensively piecing Megos together.

I wonder if anyone has pictures from that Humdinger party at Roberts. Jason DeWitt and Doc Mego were there.

And of all the great things Robert did, this is the one for which I can never forgive him.

I remember going to Humdinger on one of my trips out west. Probably the first time I meet most eveyone in person. Fun times for sure.

yeah humdinger was THE show in our area. too bad the promoter turned to the dark side and basically collected money from the dealers for the next show and then skipped town leaving the dealers who prepaid high and dry.

Wow cool, the actual namesake of the Levy list. Welcome back!

I always get confused about this and also have a bad memory. I was on the Mego Yahoo group around 2000 and remember some of you "oldtimers" from there. Was that the "Levy list" or was it something else?

Prior to the Yahoo Group there was a listserv that I moderated. I think we started it in 1995 or 1996. Ebay was a baby, flea markets still had Megos to be found, and my collection was a scattered pile of junk.

                        Scott'll attest to that.

Thanks for the clarification Robert, that would have been before I was online. The Yahoo group was my first exposure to other Mego fanatics. I think I stumbled upon that sometime in 1999.
