When I was a kid, my mom bought me a Uhura as a surprise. I always like having her to finish my enterprise off

Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?

Now THAT sums her up..: Probably not the first pick for manning the Bridge, but you CAN'T have a Bridge without her.

Heck, she's going in my electronic Diamond Captain's Chair when it's released..: Just my tribute to the hardest-working, most-deserving Space Diva around!

        That's just wrong.

          Ok guys ........

          Fess up .......

Remember the first day you got your female Mego's ? ......

Who else waited 'till there was nobody in the room --- Then proceeded to uncloth them ?

I'll be the first to admit, guilty as charged

With all the Internet 'slash' talk about the super-heroines, you're in the majority. Or so I'm told...

I just started getting into Trek Megos, I found a nice MOC of Uhura I'm waiting for her to show up in the mail. She's last of the crew I needed, so I can't wait for her to show up

I had no Trek figures as a kid, I always did like watching the reruns as a kid so I'm sure I would have loved having these as a kid.

The ONLY female Mego I had as a kid. (I had 0.0% interest in DC nor Fantastic Four, and my next door neighbor had POTA, so I never saw the need to own my own)

As essential part of the crew, she was a must-have for my Bridge.

I remember whenever I left my Bridge playset to get juice, or use the bathroom, etc, when I returned my father had placed Uhura and whichever male figure he could grab into all sorts of adult positions. As a seven year old kid, of course, I had no idea…

Being only 7 how do you know they were sexual positions? I mean maybe A alien entity invaded her body and the crew were just trying to wreasler her to the ground to............ah.......oh just never mind
Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
                Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.

Never had her as a kid, I saw her on the aisles many a time but i always grabed a superhero or ape figure instead, As an adult collecter it took me awhile to beam one into my collection, I wise they did a better likness of the actress if they had she'd be the hotest MEGO chick made

It took awhile before I got an Uhura for a nice price but when she arrived, she had a broken arm. I didn't make anything of it because I won another auction that included Uhura and she arrived in excellent condition.

I mean a behind and legs to put any lady to shame.
The Mego figure just doesn't express that.
                        It's just plain too skinny.

They should have made a special T-3 female body ...

The only crew had when I was a kid was Kirk (still have him) and the Enterprise playset.
My cousin had the whole shebang plus the Klingon.
I just got in the mail yesterday, a replacement Enterprise & the whole crew minus Uhura.
                          A Type 1 Spock & the rest Type 2
Now I need Uhura & the Klingon (don't think I can afford the Aliens)
Also I would like to get the new Chekov & Sulu guys someday and those new bridge chairs.

I owned every crew member as a kid.

My dad made it clear that he thought owning female figures
                            wasn't exactly right....

I've never understood that...I mean I was just trying to
                            complete the set!

I liked owning what I could of the crew.

It's going to be an odd day when I buy my EMCE SULU & CHEKOV
ONLY to fufill my childhood dream of having all 7 of 'em.

(I'm not much of a Trek fan these days otherwise)
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix

It's common (and annoying..) when parents tried to 'graft' their thinking/rationalization over our naive enjoyment of simple playtime.

Granted, there's so much out there on TV to watch out for and protect kids these days, but jeez, look back at the 'Batman' TV show...:

It's main ploy was to work on two levels ~ Kids not understanding the 'curious stirrings of Batman's utility belt' entendre that pulled in grown-ups and instead eating up the simple colorful action-fun of fighting superheroes.

'Course back in the day, parents just wanted to protect kids from being teased from others, or yearned to have us on the football field playing sports, but the shows and toys were just too darn much fun.

Too much imagination for our own good, I guess.

'Guess that's what grew the entire Trek franchise over 40 years and made us all get the last laugh, in a way.
