Nice suits, guys! Those pictures are so fantastic. What a great adventure. How crazy are we that we thrill to something so completely mundane? The paneling, the concrete, the shelves...
Do the Manhatten offices still exist?

Mego Warehouse Mystery Solved… Or Is It?

We both brought suitcases full of cash with us for just such a contingency...but sadly we never got to use it so I put mine back under my mattress.

Actually, I guess we would just sell it and throw a pizza party for the new warehouse staff.....after we documented it properly for the Museum of course.Leave a comment:

The funny thing is, what if you did find an unopened Mego case in some dusty corner? What could you do? They wouldn't just let you walk out with it. After talking with you guys, the warehouse manager would know it was worth money.

We really had mixed feelings- disappointment about not seeing the right mural, but enjoyment to walk around that famous place.
Next up- the Hong Kong factory!Leave a comment:

Cool story, but we need to get inside those tunnels. If there's still a forklift in there, who knows what else...

What fun! You should see the smile on my face as I read this.
You took part in a great Mego adventure,
and shared it with the rest of us.
THANKS!

Cool story. Thank you for digging into the history of it. I felt like I was there travelling with you!Leave a comment:

This is really cool. Even if you didn't find a secret stash of Mego figures,it would have been cool to find some remnant of the company, say a leftover name plate or something. But still cool even without anything found.Leave a comment:

Maybe you could hire Geraldo Rivera to open that tunnel (vault, lol)?

This is a great pictoral story!!! Really awesome thread! I can imagine both of you guys peeking down every aisle looking for the familiar "M" logo on a box! Can you imagine finding some dusty, old box of carded Megos...untouched since the day they were packed for shipment?! Looks like you guys had a blast. Thanks a lot for sharing the pics and the story...and of course, for bringing your own Megos along back to their home...Leave a comment:

That part tickles me too. Two professional looking guys bringing a bag full of "dollies" to take pictures with. I love it!
But really, bringing some Megos "home" was a wonderful idea, you had to do that and I'm glad you did. Great pics guys!
