^Thank you for the heads up on it dropping early. And to everyone else, I will second the “Go watch it!!!”

The last few episodes have been varying degrees of mediocre IMO, but this week's episode "Under the Cloak of War" was certainly a substantial improvement.

^I was surprised to see a new episode today since Episode 7 dropped early. Episode 8 was really good and it has an interesting guest star.

Ep8 was really good. vert bloody for a Trek show.

next episode is the musical. Looks really stupid, but i will give it a watch. i am sure the story will involve some alien race making them do all this singing and dancing.

This week's episode was very intense, but extremely well done. In some ways, it seems kind of odd to place it between two comedy episodes, but the direction of the show is a different genre movie every week. I'm digging it myself. Just like TOS, the format and characters are sturdy enough to handle it.

Episode 8 was intense and brutal, wow, the complete opposite of the last couple of lighthearted ones. This is why I love this show. Old school episodic Trek.

Seeing the crew in animated form, lol. They even pointed out Pike’s hair…

SNW is the most TOS show since TOS, in my opinoin. I've enjoyed most Trek in varying degrees, but none have given me the TOS feels like this one. It's not just the episodic, genre-hopping format and the trappings, it's the characters. They're human! They're flawed, they have conflicts, they have moral gray areas, just like this week's episode showed. Rodenberry ironed too much of that out in the TNG era, in my opinon.

SNW pays respect to past Trek shows. They even mentioned and praised Captain Archer from Enterprise…and part of the NX-01 ship was a key element in solving an issue…
