None of the actors that were up for the role resembled Shatner.

I don't know why, but this is the only upcoming movie that I'm excited by.
I tried to like Indy IV, but to no avail...

I think there's something to be said for the life of the character beyond the actor. If the characters of Captain Kirk and Spock can live in new actors--the way Superman or Batman or Hamlet or Sherlock Holmes can...then life will be nice.

He's got that cocky little smirk going on, let's see if embodies the role. I mean Daniel Craig doesn't look like Connery (or James Bond for that matter) but I don't hear much whining about him.

Good point. I had serious doubts going into Casino Royale, but boy was I wrong. The trailer for Quantum of Solace looks amazing as well.

I like the retro look of the design. It gives me hope that this will be done right with a serious attempt to capture the flavor of TOS and not just transplant the characters to a totally "alien" environment. Pine's shirt looks velour, which we all know is THE chosen material of 23rd century Starfleet.

Quinto looks dead-on a young Nimoy.

I have hope for this. These images helped immensely.

Yeah, Quinto does have the Spock look down pat. Hope his acting matches? Hard to tell from the picture, but his tunic appears to be very TOS. Not sure if Kirks all black is from the movie, or just used for the photo....same with Uhura's outfit.


The messed up Romulan Commander looks menacing. I guess this lays to rest the bald Klingon rumors...as it is now very clear it was Eric Banas Romulan character John Cho was fighting in those leaked pictures a while back.

Wow...Zackery Quinto looks GREAT as Spock!! I wish they showed a bit more of Kirk though(like His Hair)....still trying to keep an open Mind on this one. I want Star Trek to "Return"...but it remains to be seen if J.J. Abrams can pull a Rabbit out of His Hat.
