I agree how about an original movie. There are so many good stories out there that if done properly would be great movies.

Like the Hobbit for example. I believe they are do that but the cut out Peter Jackson??? Come on. All his experience with the LOTR series and then cutting him out over a flipping dispute. Those movies would have sucked without him and his team. grrrr...

Once again it is all about the weak *** dollar and not about a quality movie.

Just to clarify on the PJ Hobbit thing, Pete is executive producing the two Hobbit films, which in this case means overseeing all aspects of the production, including writing the screenplays with Boyens, Walsh, and del Toro, casting the project, and making sure the style and tone are similar to the LOTR films. The director is Guillermo "Pan's Labyrinth" del Toro, who is extremely talented and by all accounts very devoted to crafting a duo of films that seamlessly lead into the LOTR series. So rest easy!

Oh sweet, that is news to me. Thanks for the info. Last I had heard he was out, but my info was old, I guess. I am glad to hear it. I didn't even know there would be 2 hobbit films. Looks like I need to do a little homework.

The movies after the first one have been worse and worse, the last one was horible.

          It's time for a re-make with a good buget.
What a second, there were sequels to Highlander?

Unfortunately yes there were. . .in the sequel. . .they made out that all the Immortals were from an alien race and were exiled here after some political disagreement. . .don't remember exaCTLY AS IT WAS SO TRAGICALLY BAD! Then for some reason some more of the aliens come through to get him, or something. . . I have honestly tried to forget it.

The third Movie was set in the future. . . and I have even less recollection of that movie. . . almost none. I think that the highlander after winning the prize (Being the one), used his gift poorly and blocked out the Sun which was a good idea at the time, but pretty much made living on earth suck. . . or that he was an ultra rich captain of industry, power gens or something. . .honestly and fortunaltely have lost all clear recollection. Wasn't there like another Kergan character and it ended up being like a rerun of the first? All a blur. . . and a travesty.

(please insert my standard annoyed reply about remakes here!) ENOUGH ALL-FLIPPING-READY!

Even though I have seen the Highlander movie (and part of the second one), I much prefer the series. I really loved Adrian Paul in that. (but I hated the motion picture, and the made for TV movie The Source). I have been to 2 cons and they were a lot of fun.

I must agree with Hardygirl. I did like the series. It was pretty well done, and Adrian Paul was pretty decent. I didn't really care for his dorky sidekick, but the stories were enjoyable for me and the settings were good. The movies?? Not so much.

I love the first Highlander movie, a minor classic in my opinion...and you gotta love the Queen soundtrack as well.

                    Highlander the final Dimension
                    (tv show starts here)
Highlander Endgame (this is the movie where the tv show was mixed in pretending the end of the first movie and the next 2 didn't happen. Lambert playing some one who stoped aging in his 20's no longer worked.)
Highlander the source (TV movie that realy sucked)

I loved the first movie and the TV show.
